Ichiro Reaches 200 Hits Again Ichiro Suzuki now has 200-plus hits in all 10 of his MLB seasons. He's tied with Pete Rose for the most 200-hits seasons in MLB history. He wasted no time in setting the record, lining a single up the middle on the first pitch he saw from Hill in the fifth. His teammates came to the top step of the dugout to applaud and Suzuki tipped his cap as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Suzuki surpassed Willie Keeler with his ninth consecutive 200-hit season last year. Keeler's streak ran from 1894 to 1901. Great Japanese documentary of Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners and his pursuit of the 200 hit record that was held by Willie Keeler for over 100 years. This is a documentary of his 8th season. The record tying year. There are English sub-titles. Great insight into his beliefs, thoughts and attitude that makes him Ichiro. This is just the introduction of the 45 minute documentary. In this year he stole his 500th stolen base (between Japan and the MLB). And did well at the all-star game with a laser beam throw from right to get Albert Pujols trying to stretch a single into a double. However, the main story was his pursuit of the 200 hit record. His preparation, his struggles, his strength, his confidence and his remarkable mind set which makes him a truly great athlete. Will post the rest of the documentary with subtitles very soon on my blog: Life Lessons Section. www.lifeucation.com

On 06.05.2010, Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners scored his 1000th career run from third on a groundout by Jose Lopez against the Anaheim Angels. Even though the Mariners ended up losing the game 11-2 in the end, it's nice to see a historic moment happen in any baseball game. Enjoy!

Oaklands Terrence Long was on first base. The next batter singled to right field, and when Long tried to run from first to third base (a relatively routine maneuver), the Mariners right fielder, No. 51, Ichiro Suzuki threw a line drive from medium-deep right field all the way to the third baseman, who tagged out Long.
