How to build a computer in under 8 minutes. A video I made of a computer build from early 2009 It cost around £700 for the components including the monitor but excluding the OS. I used the Windows 7 release candidate. Does everything an average user* would need a PC to do with relative ease; rips a DVD in less than 1/2 hr, handles video footage from my camcorder in full HD (1920x1280) @ 60fps. It rendered this video to 1280x720 in less than 1 hour and will handle games easily at the highest settings. I didn't test it with Crysis, only with games I already had; Mass Effect. *Editing is very time consuming so a lot of the fiddly bits ie CABLE MANAGEMENT was taken care of afterwards and was not edited in to the actual video* Feel free to ask questions about components or where to buy them. I arranged Tool's 'Lateralus' for 8-piece koto ensemble. Here's the first performance, by Soemon in Tokyo, 11/27/09. Check out the rehearsal version video as well. Kazue Sawai was in the audience at this performance. I'd like to dedicate this one to my oldest friend Eric, who first introduced me to 'Lateralus.' The first 6 steps and the 15th step (6=1+5) of the Fibonacci sequence for the numbers 0 and 1 feature prominently in the structure of this piece: (0-1) -1-2-3-5-8-13-21-34-55-89-144-233-377-610-987 This is reflected, for example, in the rhythm of the second section, 9/8-8/8-7/8, 987 being the 15th step of the sequence, as well as in the structure of the 3rd section. While the underlying rhythm of this section is 5/8 (the 6th step of the sequence is 5+8=13), the lead melody progresses back and forth through a series of phrases of length 0 to 13, again the first 6 steps of the sequence plus the root numbers, separated by pauses of length 1 to 5, the 1st 4 steps of the sequence. Together the melody phrases and rests form the image of 2 interlocking spirals. The lyrics of the song at this point also reflect the mathematical structure, the first words being 'black then white,' ie 0 and 1. The lyrics later in the song make use of extensive spiral imagery. Kay and I hop on a "The Bus" and go get a rental car and then proceed from Waikiki up the East coast of Oahu to the north shore. We go to the Anderson's Estate which was used to film all of the outside shots at the "Robin's Nest" in the show Magnum PI It was exciting for me having recently seen all of the episodes of the 8 seasons of it all. So I explore that with two different cameras in this vid. Then we go to some park that was spectacular and I do some crappy impressions of Lost Characters and Magnum PI Then we head up to Sharks Cove where we refuse to snorkel! It so overdone..Oh well I kind of wanted to but Kay was greatly opposed. I saw some other couple out there where they were quarreling over going snorkeling, he was dragging her practically. The Guy wanted to snorkel and the wife was complaining so learning quickly I just left it. Then we went to Halewai the famous surf villiage, town? I got a kick out of that. Then ummmmm oh ya we visit a safeway and then magically warp back to waikiki for dinner at some italian restaurant.

My first video done with editing of any kind! Yay. Listen to the commentary... it's rather important. This video is meant to expand upon my first video concerning superglassmake, and to hopefully make some aspects of the technique clearer with the commentary. Stuff I missed / forgot to say in the commentary: When Banking, I click the Bank Chest as my character's arms bob down the second time. This allows for optimum speed I've found. I'm using Mousekeys obviously, and I'm also using Stickykeys to keep Control held down. I use 2 and 8 on the Number pad, 2 to move the cursor down to "withdraw 13", then 8 to move it up to seaweed, then 2 again to move it down to "Witdraw All", then 8 again to move it close to the exit box. I use the buttons on the mouse for all actual clicking. I don't like using the 5 key. When done correctly, You will close your bank while the animation of the spell is still in progress, and you will start your next spell as the previous spell's animation ends. It takes some practice though. Using this technique, you can cast the spell around 500-600 times per hour which gains about 65-75K Crafting and 35-45K Magic Exp per hour. (This does currently profit, but prices are changing everyday. Keep an eye on prices and you'll be fine.) You get 130 Crafting exp and 78 Magic Exp per spell. (Crafting exp assumes you use 13 supplies per spell.) I say in the commentary that the profit is about 700k per hour, but this only applies for the date that I made this ...

The first few years of the band was spent playing all around Ireland perfecting their own unique sound, before taking it seriously and setting their sights outside the Emerald Isle. Trips all over England, Europe and America have followed in the last few years and to date the band have toured and played with many artists including Manu Chao, The Pogues, Rancid, Anti - Flag, The Stranglers, Dropkick Murphys, Stiff Little fingers, Levellers, The Beat, Bad Manners, Misfits and Hayseed Dixie to name but a few. Blood or Whiskey have also had some very difficult times along the way with original vocalist Barney Murray leaving in 2002, Jim Borek going to prison in 2003 and Tin Whistle player Alan Confrey dying suddenly in 2006. The band have also recently come out of a 3 year legal battle with their former record label, in the process getting the masters to the Cashed out on Culture album returned to the group. 2009 finds the band regrouped, in great shape and fighting fit, getting ready for album number 4, as a taster an EP Live and Learn was released in February 2009 with plans for the album proper later in the year.
