The more we looked at various images that used this technique, the more we fell in love with the colours and decided that they should drive the aesthetic of the piece. In particular, we were intrigued as to what might happen if the two images were from drastically different sources. "The song is full of light and shade; with euphoric melodies and skipping glitchy beats. It seemed to us that themes of 'duality' ran through both the song and our visual idea. "We took those themes to our stylist, Justine Josephs who, along with our make-up artist Sally Marshall, created two opposing looks for our dancer, Claire Meehan. We spent a single day shooting in a South East London studio with Chris Nunn behind the camera and lights. "Finally came the edit and post-production process: We locked ourselves in the studio for 2 weeks working with After Effects. TOKYO -- Forget 3D TV, Japan is promoting the idea of ultra-realistic holographic broadcasts and the ability to zoom a virtual camera in behind players on the pitch if it secures the 2022 World Cup. Japan proposes expanding the World Cup to all 208 FIFA member nations through fan-fest events that will feature live, holographic coverage of the games. Equipment used: - Computer: MacBook Pro laptop with Windows installed - Monitor - 24" Asus: We had to replace the standard fluorescent backlight with very large tungsten fixtures to funnel in more light to capture the screen. In addition, we flipped the monitor 180 degrees to eliminate a shadow from the driver board and set the system preferences on the computer to rotate 180 degrees. No special software was used in this process. - Camera: Phantom v640 High Speed Camera at 1920 x 1080, films up to 2700 fps "Why does allrecipes.com in the potato gun sequence appear at once, and not the text first and images second? And why does it appear to render from bottom of the screen to the top?" Chrome sends the rendered page to the video card buffer all at once, which is why allrecipes.com appears at once, and not with the text first and images second. Chrome actually paints the page from top to bottom, but to eliminate a shadow from the driver board, we had to flip the monitor upside down and set the system preferences in Windows to rotate everything 180 degrees, resulting in the page appearing to render from bottom to top. Gigapixel images are great, but navigating them on a regular sized display through a slow web browser isn't such a great experience. This video shows how we navigate a 13.3 gigapixel image of Tromsø, Norway on a 22 megapixel display wall, using a custom, camera-based multi-touch interface and a custom system for high-performance navigation and visualization of high-resolution datasets. The image was taken by photographer Eirik Helland Urke, who also operates the www.gigapix.no website. He kindly gave us access to his data so that we could present and view it on our display wall. The system for visualizing the high-resolution image is called wallscope. The system was created by Tor-Magne Stien Hagen, and incorporated with Daniel Stødle's Interaction Spaces system for device- and touch-free interaction with display walls. How to make an image have a transparent background. Image transparency, invisible background, image overlay. People call it many different things but in this video I will clearly show how to make an image have a transparent background using Adobe Photoshop. There are some tutorials showing how to do this that I have seen but they do not show how to do it clearly and never explain why you can't see "Duplicate Layer." It's because your using an image that is not a JPEG, or compatible image. You have to first save the image as a different file type. Then you can proceed with making the background transparent! Be aware that there are multiple ways of making an image have a transparent background but I find that this way guarantees you the cleanest cut looking result without any missed dirty pixels lying around. So, when I want a quality transparent background without a chance of the image looking messy I use this technique. This is my first tutorial video.
