The quake was centered 717 miles (1154 km) SE of Tijuana, Mexico. No tsunami warning was issued, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, although the agency said it could cause local waves. The quake, initially reported as a magnitude 6.6, was centered in the Gulf of California, 65 miles south of Los Mochis in the state of Sinaloa on the mainland. It was very shallow, just 6.2 miles below the seabed. The Hotel Santa Anita in nearby Los Mochis, Mexico, reportedly felt very strong shaking, but the hotel was ...

A vast ice cap covers much of Greenland, in some places up to 1.2 miles (2 km) thick. The ice, in place for eons, presses down the land, making the elevation at any given point lower than it would be sans ice. Scientists have documented on Greenland and elsewhere that when longstanding ice melts away, the land rebounds. Even the European Alps are rising as glaciers melt. Now, scientists at the University of Miami say Greenland's ice is melting so quickly that the land underneath is rising at an accelerated pace Some coastal areas are going up by nearly 1 inch per year, the scientists announced today. If current trends continue, that could accelerate to as much as 2 inches per year by 2025, said Tim Dixon, professor of geophysics at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) and principal investigator of the study. "It's been known for several years that climate change is contributing to the melting of Greenland's ice sheet," Dixon said in a statement. "What's surprising, and a bit worrisome, is ...
This is an example of a 1000-year simulation produced by the computer code "Virtual California" visually rendered by the RIVA software. The map is a LandSat image of California, and the black lines represent the major strike-slip earthquake faults. In the model, the faults are divided into 650 segments, each approximately 10 km long, and exactly 15 km deep. After the movie is started, the viewer will see a series of "butterfly" images of various sizes centered on the faults. The butterflies represent the displacement of the ground surface as they would be reconstructed from observations taken by an interferometric radar satellite having a radar wavelength of 5.7 cm. The sizes of the butterflies are related to the sizes of the earthquakes they represent. The color contours can be interpreted as a kind of contour map of the change in ground displacement due to an earthquake, with each color cycle (ie, red-blue-red) representing 5.7 cm of displacement along the line of sight to the spacecraft. The displacement changes are computed over a time interval of 5 years, and each movie frame represents an advance of 1 year in the ground displacement. The viewer can easily see that an important characteristic of the earthquakes in the simulation is the clustering of the earthquake butterflies in space and time. Clustering of this type is also seen in real earthquakes, and the simulations tell us that it is due to the elastic interactions between fault segments, combined with the ...
New martial law force deployed to FEMA regions (Alert) That is why the Pentagon has announced that Ohio and Washington are the first two states to have been selected to host the new National Guard homeland response forces (HRF). Called for in the 2010 Quadrennial Defense Review, the HRF is designed to work in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), at the behest of an affected state's governor, to provide rapid response to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-explosive (CBRNE) attacks. The Department of Defense (DoD) plans to establish 10 HRFs, one for each of the 10 FEMA regions across the US Each HRF will consist of 570 guardsmen that will be able to respond to a CBRNE threat on the ground within six to 12 hours. The team will have 45 medical personnel, 50 search and extraction personnel, 75 decontamination personnel, as well as a 200-member security team and another 200 individuals who will execute command-and-control. When not deployed, the teams will focus on planning, training and exercising at the regional level. "We would like to see [the HRF] play a very important role at the regional level in terms of helping develop and build regional plans and working with the state emergency managers," said Christine Wormuth, principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for homeland defense and security affairs, at the National Guard Bureau's Domestic Operations Workshop on March 24. "We'd like to see the HRFs, that command and ...

October 21st 2010 will mark the 143rd Anniversary of the 1868 Hayward Earthquake. Geologists say that's important because major earthquakes happen on the Hayward fault every 140 years on average. With much of the East Bay on or near the fault, geologists and community members are working to prepare for what may be the next big one. A wonderful conversation between God and the bride by way of question and answer. It concerns the king and his hereditary rights and those of his successors in the kingdom, and also how some territories should be reclaimed by the successors in the kingdom and some not. Book 4 - Chapter 3 SAINT BRIDGET PATRON SAINT OF EUROPE FINAL PART Hence, their election was against justice, against God, against the good of the nation and against the welfare of the people. Therefore, in order to provide for peace and for the welfare of the people, it is necessary for the older son to receive the hereditary kingdom and for the younger son to come to the elective one. Otherwise, if the earlier actions are not repealed, the kingdom will suffer loss, the people will be afflicted, discord will arise, the sons shall pass their days in sorrow, and their kingdoms will no longer be kingdoms. Instead it will be as is written: 'The mighty will move from their seats and those that walk upon the earth shall be exalted.' Hear now: I will give you the example of two kingdoms. In one there is election, in the other hereditary succession. The first kingdom, where there is election, has been ruined and afflicted, because the rightful heir was not elected. This was due to the electors as well as to the greed of the one who sought the kingdom. Now, God does not punish the son for his father's sins nor does his anger endure forever, but he works and maintains justice both on earth and in heaven. For this ...

"Experts have identical that such a depth increases the hazards that the solid ground might absorb a majority of the shock, reducing the hazards of damage on the surface," The quake, which went centered hot 108 miles east of Tijuana, Mexico, great 10 miles below the surface appeared to have caused much more important damage nearer the border, including one report of a death in Mexico, but officials were still seeing information. The stimulating lasted for 35 to 55 seconds, read Lucy Jones, a seismologist at Cal Technical School, at a press league. The 7.2-magnitude quake is the largest successful Southern California since the 7.3 Landers quake on June 28, 1992, she said.
With the increase in seismic activity across the world it is important to ask yourself are you TRULY prepared? if not what are you waiting for?
The Obama administration probably has the most important agenda in the world. The recent earth quakes in Haiti, Turkey, Chile, Hawaii, and Tokyo are probably linked to global warming and west Canada and US like California are on the waiting list. The Myrtle Beach area is also on the waiting list. Lessons to learn from Chile and Haiti, people were looting for bottled water and food. When Katrina hit the US and New Orleans the first thing they ran out of was bottled water. MUST SEE!!! 100777.com Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) What is the Federal Emergency Management Agency? Simply put, it is the "secret government". This agency has powers and authority that go well beyond any other agency in the nation. What can FEMA do? It can suspend laws. It can move entire populations. It can arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and can hold them without a trial. It can seize property, food supplies, and transportation systems. And it can even suspend the Constitution of the United States. When the first concept had been presented, its original mission was to assure the survivability of the United States Government in the event of a nuclear attack. It's secondary function was to be a Federal coordinating body during times of domestic disasters. These disasters consisted of earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes. The "secret" black helicopters that are reported throughout the US, mainly in the West California, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado areas are flown by FEMA personnel. It has been given the responsibility for many new national disasters such as forest fires, home heating emergencies, refugee situations, riots, and emergency planning for nuclear and toxic incidents. It works together with the Sixth Army in the West. A series of Executive Orders (EO) was used to create FEMA. It does not matter whether an EO is Constitutional or not, it becomes a law simply by being published in the Federal Registry. These orders ...
Mega Quake: Scott from Believers Underground | TJA Podcast | Episode #15www.youtube.com Post-glacial rebound (or Glacial Isostatic Adjustment) produces measurable effects on: (i) Vertical Crustal Motion, (ii) Global sea levels, (iii) Horizontal Crustal Motion, (iv) Gravity field, (v) Earth's rotational motion and (vi) State of stress and earthquakes. Studies of Glacial rebound give us information about the flow law of mantle rocks and also past ice sheet history. The former is important to the study of Mantle Convection, Plate Tectonics and the thermal evolution of the Earth. The latter is important to the study of Glaciology, Paleoclimate and changes in Global Sea Level. Understanding postglacial rebound is also important to our ability to monitor recent global change. To form the ice sheets of the last Ice Age, water is taken from the oceans through evaporation, condensation as snow and then deposited as ice in high latitudes. Thus global sea level would fall during glaciation. The ice sheets at the last Glacial Maximum were so massive that global sea level fell by about 120 metres. Thus continental shelves were exposed and many islands became connected with the continents through dry land. This was the case between the British Isles and Europe, or between Taiwan, the Indonesian islands and Asia. Most important is the existence of a land-bridge between Siberia and Alaska that allowed the migration of people and animals during last glacial maximum.[3] Alternative view ...

downloads.climatescience.gov search.yahoo.com www.wmo.int aeronetpr.com www.ipcc.ch www.google.com It appears they jacked all 16 links!! here is new stuff en.wikipedia.org Gravity field Ice, water and mantle rocks have mass, and as they move around, they exert a gravitational pull of other masses towards them. Thus, the gravity field, which is sensitive to all mass on the surface and within the Earth, will be affected by the redistribution of ice/melted water on the surface of the Earth and the flow of mantle rocks within. Today, more than 6000 years after the last deglaciation terminated, the flow of mantle material back to the glaciated area causes the overall shape of the Earth to become less oblate. This change in the topography of Earth's surface affects the long wavelength components of the gravity field. The changing gravity field can be detected by repeated land measurements with Absolute Gravimeters and recently by the GRACE satellite mission.[12] The changing long wavelength components of Earth's gravity field also perturbs the orbital motion of satellites and has been detected by LAGEOS satellite motion.[13 Earth's Rotational Motion Examination of ancient Chinese and Babylonian eclipse records reveals that the Earths rotation rate is not constant. For example, if the rotation rate were constant, then the shadow path of an ancient Babylonian eclipse would lie somewhere across western Europe and the ancient eclipse could not have been observed at the recorded ...

Earthquakes of all magnitudes are extremely easy to detect before they strike and major earthquakes are easy to forecast very accurately days in advance. Learn the secrets of how earthquakes are detected ahead of time by watching these 22 videos. Major earthquakes can easily be detected ahead of time by precursor pulses that exist 24 hours a day. The easily detected daily cycle of continually repeated pulses is detected days and weeks before major earthquakes can strike giving plenty of notice for people to successfully evacuate. Members of the USGS and other government agencies around the world are ignorant in earthquake dynamics and misinform or lie when they state that major earthquakes can be predicted accurately. David Berger discusses linked areas, earthquake chain reactions, the importance of releases, 24-hour releases and that destructive earthquakes have more Piezoseismically detectable links, each link giving important release and magnitude information. Playlist: www.youtube.com Dave shows that California and Mexico are linked to the region of Wichita, Kansas and that earthquake cell releases in that region foretells exactly when earthquakes will strike along the western coast of the USA, Mexico and Central America. With the likelihood of a major earthquake in the Bay Area increasing each year, it's important for each of us to make sure we're prepared. Gathering an earthquake safety kit is easy, and members of the San Francisco Fire Department offer some tips to get you started.
Tsunamis are a constant threat to the coasts of our world. Although tsunamis are infrequent along the California coast, it is possible and necessary to prepare for potential tsunami hazards to minimize loss of life and property. Community awareness programs are important, as they strive to create an informed society by providing education and training. Information and knowledge is the key to achieving (social) change. This video about tsunami preparedness along the coast of Northern California distinguishes between a local tsunami and a distant event and focuses on the specific needs of this region. It offers guidelines for correct tsunami response and community preparedness from local emergency managers, first-responders, and leading experts on tsunami hazards and warnings who have been working on ways of making the tsunami affected regions safer for the people and communities on a long-term basis. This video is a joint product of California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA, formerly named OES California), Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), and the US Geological Survey (USGS). After the movie is started, the viewer will see a series of butterfly" images of various sizes centered on the faults.

October 21st will mark the 141st Anniversary of the 1868 Hayward Earthquake. Geologists say that's important because major earthquakes happen on the Hayward fault every 140 years on average. With much of the East Bay on or near the fault, geologists and community members are working to prepare for what may be the next big one.

Prove of HAARP was used to cause the big earthquake in China. The Collaboratory for Computational Geosciences www.seismo.unr.edu at the College of Science, University of Nevada, is modeling synthetic earthquake motions through complex geological structures. The simulations are teaching us what we need to know in order to accurately anticipate the ground shaking and other effects of likely earthquakes. This narrated video presents two scenarios for the same M7.5 earthquake affecting Las Vegas. In the first, the epicenter of the earthquake is at the southeast end of the fault near the resort of Furnace Creek, Calif., and the fault rupture propagates northwest, away from the city. In the second scenario, the epicenter of the earthquake is at the northwest end of the fault, at Ubehebe Crater, and the rupture is toward Las Vegas to the southeast. The one-minute video presents the the geologic and geotechnical data that went into the model, shows the wave propagation from both rupture scenarios, and compares the peak ground shaking from each scenario in Las Vegas. The direction of the fault rupture and the location of the earthquake's epicenter turn out to be the most important effects on the level of ground-shaking hazard in Las Vegas. To see additional earthquake scenarios affecting Nevada cities, please visit www.seismo.unr.edu/ma . The computations were set up and run by undergraduate Geological Sciences and Engineering students in the fall Geophysics and Geodynamics course at the Univ. of Nevada, Reno. Student Liz Lennox set up the ...
