Dassault Rafale ______ The Dassault Rafale is a French twin-engined delta-wing agile multi-role fighter aircraft designed and built by Dassault Aviation. The Rafale was brought in as the replacement for the Mirage 2000-5 that was originally a competitor for the tender, after the production lines for the Mirage closed down, as well as the entry of much more advanced aircraft into the competition. The Rafale has the advantage of being logistically and operationally similar to the Mirage 2000, which the IAF already operates and used with great success during the Kargil War (see Operation Safed Sagar). This would require fewer changes in the existing infrastructure of the IAF, which in turn will reduce cost. Moreover, being 100 per cent French also provided Dassault a distinct edge over its competitors on the issue of technology transfer.Dassault claims that the Rafale has an advantage over many of the competitors because it is not subject to ITAR restrictions. The French government has cleared full technology transfer of the Rafale to India, including that of the RBE2-AA Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar (which will be integrated with the Rafale by 2010 and the transfer of software source codes, which will allow Indian scientists to re-programme a radar or any sensitive equipment if need be.Without the software source codes, the IAF would have to specify mission parameters to foreign manufacturers to enable configuration of their radar, seriously compromising ...

Gurgaon, August 13 (ANI): Indian doctors said on Thursday that it was hard to prove that the new superbug - a gene called New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase, or NDM-1, found in patients in South Asia and Britain could be attributed to medical tourism from the country alone while pressing for stringent antibiotic policies. But Dr Katariya added it was hard to gauge the impact of the findings on overseas patients coming to India for specialized treatment. Researchers had said on Wednesday the new superbug from India could spread around the world, in part because of medical tourism, with scientists saying there are almost no drugs to treat it.

Doctors and experts are baffled by an Indian man who claims not to have eaten or drunk anything for 70 years - but is still in perfect health. A team of scientists and doctors in Sterling Hospital, in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, are studying the claims of Prahlad Jani, a local holy man, who is over 70 years old. He claims to have been blessed by a goddess when he was 8-years-old, which has enabled him to survive without sustenance and that he derives energy through meditation. Most people can live without food for several weeks, with the body drawing on its fat and protein stores. But the average human can survive for only three to four days without water. Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports.

"Indian, US scientists question Big Bang theory" www.hindustantimes.com I look forward to reading Ashwini Kumar Lal's "Big Bang? A Critical Review" "Why is the 'Big Bang' such a 'Big Deal'"? Why does the BBT irk me so much? Why make videos about it? Why even address it? Who gives a fock? What's the point? Here's why: Because BBT is a prime example of the scientific method can be overridden for the sake of pushing 'theoretical nonsense' (ie Global Warming) with exactly ZERO 'evidence' to support it. How do 'theories' arise with virtually no scinetific evidence to support them? Well, a bunch of well-funded, 'important people', sit behind a microphone, write books & papers, hold press conferences & nod their heads in unison. In other words: Because 'They' say so. This is not 'advancement in science'. In fact, it's the exact opposite. It is suppression of advances in scientific research as those on the 'fringe', with other, more rational & realistic theories, are derided, isolated & rejected by the prevailing scientific orthodoxy. They lose funding, & go out of business for daring to 'question', when 'questions' & human curiosity are core to any advances in science & medicine. It all starts with a question. So, here's 'My Theory' The 'Big Bang Theory', will be looked backed upon, & laughed at by cosmologists & astrophysicists of the future..

Indian defence scientists are readying a weapons system to neutralise enemy satellites operating in low-earth orbit, a top defence scientist said here on Sunday. "India is putting together building blocks of technology that could be used to neutralise enemy satellites," Defence Research and Development Organisation Director General VK Saraswat told reporters on the sidelines of the 97th Indian Science Congress. However, he added that the defence scientists have not planned any tests but have started planning such technology which could be used to leapfrog to build a weapon in case the country needed it. Saraswat, who is also the Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister, said the scientists were planning to build the weapon which would have the capacity to hit and destroy satellites in low-earth orbit and polar orbit. Usually, satellites in such orbits are used for network centric warfare and neutralising such spacecraft would deny enemy access to its space assets. "We are working to ensure space security and protect our satellites. At the same time we are also working on how to deny the enemy access to its space assets," he said. To achieve such capabilities, a kill vehicle needs to be developed and that process is being carried out under the Ballistic Missile Defence programme. "Basically, these are deterrence technologies and quite certainly many of these technologies will not be used. I hope they are not used," Saraswat said. In January 2007, China had demonstrated its ...

Given the fact that Brad will most likely be given jack shit on Christmas Day from the family and friends that he pushed away because he wanted to play magical space wizards, viral marketing campaigns destined to fail and conning people out of money online I only deemed it fit to give Brad this video as an early christmas present. This was originally uploaded to saviorsofearth.ning.com either towards the end of 2008 or early 2009. Shortly afterwards numerous members of the site expressed outrage having seen Brad not only destroy his credibility but the credibility of the whole concept of channeling as a whole. Soon afterwards Brad pulled the video as well as the subsequent thread. Months later I found a backup I had stored on the internet computer. This video is a parody and includes material that has been modified for humor and entertainment. This constitutes a 'fair use' as provided for in section 107 of the US Copyright Law.
In this video, Brad Johnson speaks on the discoveries of the ancient city that could possibly be that of Atlantis, new water worlds discovered light years away and unofficial disclosure happening now before the dawn of 2010. www.disclosure2009.blogspot.com

The space agency smashed a rocket and a probe into a large crater at the lunar south pole, hoping to kick up ice. Scientists who have studied the data now say instruments trained on the impact plume saw copious quantities of water-ice and water vapour. One researcher described this as the equivalent of "a dozen two-gallon buckets" of water. "We didn't just find a little bit; we found a significant amount," said Anthony Colaprete, chief scientist for the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) mission. No doubt October's experiment involved driving a 2200kg Centaur rocket stage into the 100km-wide Cabeus Crater, a permanently shadowed depression at the Moon's far south. At the time, scientists were hoping for a big plume of debris some 10km high which could be seen by Earth telescopes. The actual debris cloud was much smaller, about 2km high, but sufficiently large to betray the evidence researchers were seeking. The near-infrared spectrometer on the LCROSS probe that followed the rocket into the crater detected ...

Dreams of establishing a manned Moon base could become reality within two decades after Indias first lunar mission found evidence of large quantities of water on its surface. Data from Chandrayaan-1 also suggests that water is still being formed on the Moon. Scientists said the breakthrough — to be announced by Nasa at a press conference today — would change the face of lunar exploration. The discovery is a significant boost for India in its space race against China. Dr Mylswamy Annadurai, the missions project director at the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore, said: Its very satisfying. The search for water was one of the missions main objectives, but it was a surprise nonetheless, scientists said. The unmanned craft was equipped with Nasas Moon Mineralogy Mapper, designed specifically to search for water by picking up the electromagnetic radiation emitted by minerals. The M3 also made the unexpected discovery that water may still be forming on the surface of the Moon, according to scientists familiar with the mission. Its very satisfying, said Dr Mylswamy Annadurai, the project director of Chandrayaan-1 at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bangalore. This was one of the main objectives of Chandrayaan-1, to find evidence of water on the Moon, he told The Times. Dr Annadurai would not provide any further details before a news conference at Nasa today from Dr Carle Pieters, a planetary geologist of Brown University who oversaw the M3. Dr Pieters ...
