said: WHAT IS TRUE LOVE? Love is any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my wife"). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states. As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familia and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts. The composition of this song is in reference and exemplify Aesop's Fable about the race between the Hare and the Tortoise. A Hare one day ridiculed the short feet and slow pace of the Tortoise. The latter, laughing, said: "Though you be swift as the wind, I will beat you in a race." The Hare, deeming her assertion to be simply impossible, assented to the proposal; and they agreed that the Fox should choose the course, and fix ...

Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love[2] to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.[3] Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts. Greek distinguishes several different senses in which the word "love" is used. For example, Ancient Greek has the words philia, eros, agape, storge, and xenia. However, with Greek (as with many other languages), it has been historically difficult to separate the meanings of these words totally. At the same time, the Ancient Greek text of the Bible has examples of the verb agapo having the same meaning as phileo. Agape (ἀγάπη agápē) means love in modern-day Greek. The term s'agapo means I love you in Greek. The word agapo is the verb I love. It generally refers to a "pure," ideal type of love, rather than the physical attraction suggested by eros. However, there are some examples of agape used to mean the same as eros. It has also been translated as "love of the soul." Eros (ἔρως érōs) (from the Greek deity Eros) is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. The Greek word erota ...

Awareness is growing in the slumber and those already infected and growing are being promoted to become the necessary apparatus for the Game. Only a King or Queen who has passed through the Darkness and felt injustice can rise to glory and guide the rest up to the same royalty. Only when a God has lived through ignorance of its own infinite power can it truly understand this power. The winds are shifting after a crucible of blasting gusts from a single dark direction. Balancing winds from all angles now come as angels. All that you need will magnetically pull its self to your Will and over time your True Will will manifest. David Kastner's Light Sequencing at DLC Fine Art in Chelsea. The sun god Ra is depicted in many works from ancient Egypt. Scientists have discovered properties that explain characteristics of light and color in art. Isaac Newton described how to break white light into constituent wavelengths of colored light, and then to recombine them by passing the colored light through a second prism. Chevreul discovered how adjacent colors affect our perception through his theory of simultaneous contrast. Einstein used light as a constituent in his famous theory E=mc2. Kueppers stated that the majority of information we encounter is in the form of color. Goethe began a quest to understand and explain the phenomena of light. Helmholtz made clear the theory of vibrations. Birren, Albers, Medeiros, Emsley, Hering, Raman, Motokawa, Rood and Munsell all explained light and color perception further. Artists absorbed these ideas about the mechanics of light and color and applied the theories in their art: Pissarro, Renoir, Monet, Cezanne, Degas, Sisley, Delacroix, Van Gogh, Vermeer, Seurat, Delaunay, Matisse, Derain, Vlaminck, Van Eyck. All of these journeys of human imagination have led us to contemporary understanding of the complex world of color and its application in art. Whether we understand light as waves, particles, photons, or some combination of the above, contemporary physicists describe the natural world as an ever-changing matrix where limits are the factor defining phenomena ...
the letter "G" found in the Master Mason's jewel, along with the Square and Compasses, is a substitute for a phallic symbol. But there is nothing in Masonry to support such a statement; it is complete fiction. The letter "G" stands for God (it is used by Masons who speak other languages due to the modern origins of Masonry in English-speaking countries); in the Scottish Rite, the Hebrew letter yodh, which is the first letter of the Tetragrammaton, or Ineffable Name, plays the same role. The Morning Star, which is the East Star (the Phoenix, or Venus to the Romans), was the nocturnal representation of the hidden Sun-god Osiris, or his soul according to Egyptian mythology. He was called "Athtar," the East Star, among the Arabs, which actually meant "Lucifer," the Illuminated One. The Masons have adopted the name "The Blazing Star" to describe this symbol which the evil sign of Witchcraft (the Pentagram) derived with its two horns (points) attacking Heaven.Albert Pike says in his book Morals and Dogma, on pages 15 and 16:"Our French Brethren place this letter Yod, in the centre of the Blazing Star. And in the old Lectures, our ancient English Brethren said, 'The Blazing Star or glory in the centre refers us to that grand luminary, THE SUN, which enlightens the earth, and by its genial influence dispenses blessing to mankind." Pike goes on to say,"They call it also in the same lectures, an EMBLEM OF PRUDENCE. The word Prudentia means, in its original and fullest signification ...
While others might object that the onus is NOT on the atheist to disprove the existence of God (and I agree completely) I don't see why we can't take a shot at it anyway: I mean, even if one fails, that still leaves a critical absence of positive reasons to believe. Well, I'm happy to take a crack at it but there seems to be a gaping hole in the challenge itself: I have not been told what it is that I am supposed to disprove. An operational definition of God is necessary and, apart from asking for one, I figured I'd take the time to point out the various pitfalls and difficulties when a person sets themselves the task of "effing the ineffable." So, even if we put aside the fact that the atheist really suffers no burden of "disproof" and accept the challenge for a moment, the ball is STILL in the theist's court because some mothefucker's gotta give me an operational definition to swing at, am I right? Anyway, AGAIN, whatever your definition, of course, a positive reason is still needed to believe that the thing defined exists; but whatever your aim having a definition is essential to first make the claim meaningful, win, lose, or draw.
The truth- those who hate gay and lesbian Americans, who want discrimination to continue against them, cloaked their bigotry behind a veil of hypocrisy, religious dogma and an ineffable new appreciation for the definition of the word "marriage," one that as easily disappears as they tune in to The Bachelor, Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, and a tacit endorsement of divorce. The wall of shame is long, including religious leaders, political consultants and attorneys who've grown rich exploiting the bigotry and hatred of others.
In response to profMTH's argumentum ad ignorantiam entitled "What is God?" www.youtube.com and "Believers are Agnostics" www.youtube.com Commonly in an argument from personal incredulity or argument from ignorance, the speaker considers or asserts that something is false, implausible, or not obvious to them personally and attempts to use this gap in knowledge as "evidence" in favor of an alternative view of his or her choice. Examples of these fallacies are often found in statements of opinion which begin: "It is hard to see how...," "I cannot understand how...," or "it is obvious that..." (if "obvious" is being used to introduce a conclusion rather than specific evidence in support of a particular view). The two most common forms of the argument from ignorance, both fallacious, can be reduced to the following form: 1) Something is currently unexplained or insufficiently understood or explained, so it is not (or must not be) true. 2) Because there appears to be a lack of evidence for one hypothesis, another chosen hypothesis is therefore considered proven. en.wikipedia.org

A response to ProfMTH's "Believers are agnostics." : Atheists do not need to define any specific god, for us, god is just an idea, once made up, with nothing to back it up; which is why one can dismiss it, with no big attention as to the defintion believers have for this...idea.
