Part 1 of Nova's fantastic documentary on the collapse of Intelligent Design in federal court
This clip comes from the Expelled documentary w/ Ben Stein. Richard Dawkins proves his lack of objectivity (as if he hasn't proven that already in his books), by saying in the Expelled documentary that he has no idea how we (humans) got here, but yet, he admits that we may be the product of intelligent design by someone (an alien) in the universe... but dogmatically believes it's not God. Dawkins is a deep-denier... but, he did take a major step by admitting intelligent design is possible. I can see Dawkins converting, just like Antony Flew did, but it's too bad, he would've misled millions of people into believing the Darwinism myth before he does. Okays, for the large part Im done with politics. The bulk of this video deals with how PCS has adopted Intelligent Design. However in what can only be described as a moment of jaw dropping stupidity, he blasts Intelligent Design by directly associating it with God and religion. The whole of the intelligent design movement was basically about discussing creationism without using the words god or religion In less than 10 seconds, the most popular creationist on youtube has rendered the position of intelligent design in the media window of youtube untenable. Good Job PCS!

A great clip from a 2005 episode of Real Time where Bill goes off on Intelligent Design.
Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial captures the turmoil that tore apart the community of Dover, Pennsylvania in a landmark battle over the teaching of evolution in public schools. In 2004, the Dover school board ordered science teachers to read a statement to high school biology students about an alternative to Darwin s theory of evolution called intelligent design the idea that life is too complex to have evolved naturally and so must have been designed by an intelligent agent. The teachers refused to comply, and both parents and teachers filed a lawsuit in federal court accusing the school board of violating the constitutional separation of church and state. This is the trial where Behe admitted that if the definition of science was broadened to allow ID, it would also sweep in Astrology. This is the trial which saw Kenneth Miller completely dismantle "Irreducible Complexity". This is the trial where Buckingham and Bonsell went from saying "we don't know where the books came from" to the revelation that Buckingham had taken up an offering in his church, banked the money, wrote a cheque to Bonsell, Bonsell gave it to his father and his father bought the ID books. This is the trial where a number of key witnesses from the upper echelon of the Discovery Institute pulled out at the last minute and therefore would not defend the claims of intelligent Design under oath. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/

Creationists are trying so hard to push religion into science classrooms that they have repackaged the religious belief as "Intelligent Design." We debunk the idea that somehow Intelligent Design is a new concept, and show how creationists have simply substituted the term "Intelligent Design" for "Creationism." We are here to call out Ben Stein and his ludicrous ideas that are the spotlight of his new movie Expelled, about Intelligent Design. Expelled is a manipulation of lies that repackages religious creationism as Intelligent Design and teaches it as science in public schools. We must stand up to keep religion out of our public schools' science education. Go to www.ExpelledExposed.com to find out more!
Neil deGrasse Tyson's thoughts on Intelligent Design. Richard Dawkins in the audience.
Kitzmiller v. Dover was the first direct challenge brought in the United States federal courts against a public school district that required the presentation of "Intelligent Design" as an alternative to evolution as an "explanation of the origin of life." The plaintiffs successfully argued that intelligent design is a form of creationism, and that the school board policy thus violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The judge's decision has sparked considerable response from both supporters and critics.
Shame on Big Science for trying to squash Intelligent Design -- something I confirmed with only about an hour of research. Who knew that science is worse than Hitler?
Creationists all over the country are trying to push creationism into schools and package it as science under the guise of Intelligent Design. The National Center for Science Education is here to put out those fires and keep religion out of our public school science classrooms. Intelligent design on trial
Intelligent design on trial
'Intelligent Design' (ID) is a new form of creationism that emerged after legal decisions in the 1980s hampered the inclusion of 'creation science' in the public school curriculum. In the 20 years since ID appeared, there has been no evidence of it being used to solve problems in biology. Although the scientific/scholarly part of ID has been a failure, the 'cultural renewal' part of ID has been a success, as supporters of ID seek 'restoration' of a theistic sensibility in American culture to replace what they consider an overemphasis on secularism.

Please read more below: Henry talks about Evolution and the lazy pseudo-science of Intelligent Design. A friend of mine made the following points: 1) The argument that all creationists use is apes evolving into man. The reality: Apes and Humans share a common ancestor. Research on Chromosome 2. 2) The creationists argue that Darwinism is racism and resulted in genocide. The reality: Darwinism is when a species evolve (or mutate) to survive their environment an example is bacteria and its resistance to medicine. The bible was used for slavery. Hitler said he was doing gods' works, the Vatican were supporting him. 3)The creationists argue about how god created everything and the bible is gods word (if one is a Christian obviously). The reality, the contradictions of the bible of all forms and demoninations, including and especially the Watchtower cult. There is no evidence of a worldwide flood, the gospel accounts are fictious and conflict with each other. The alleged disciples of an alleged jesus did not write the gospels, it was someone else. Plus the whole history of HOW the bible was put together and translated is another story. 4)The bible is not accurate on scientific matters, rather a cultural, and plagarised account. It deals with what the men who wrote the old testament decided. Including embellishments such as a massive kingdom of David when archeology proves it to be a tribal village. Plus no Jews in Egypt! A bat is not a bird. There are no unicorns. Bible is pornographic [...] 2 kings 18:27 amongst others!! 5)Creationists argue that there are no transitional fossils. The reality: They have no idea on how a fossil is made, they have no idea that the earth is constantly changing-volcanic activity etc. They have no idea that transitional fossils have been found are and are well documented. 6)The creationists argue that there are evolution hoaxes etc. The reality, even desperate religious bigot fanatics, also make hoaxes to get credibility, such as the Turin shroud:fake, biblical texts and gospels:fake and copies, the watchtower cult with their new light. 7)The creationists argue that Darwinism and atheists have no morality. The reality: read every religious scripture and you will find more pornography than in an adult book store. Religious enjoy relying on faith and have vicious arguments when their faith is being challenged. The religious enjoy putting their beliefs on others, but plays the victim when someone calmly tells them to keep their beliefs to themselves. Also like to preach hell, and enjoy scientific technology. 8) Last point. They deny the existence of other gods, I go one (or three or how many they have) god(s) more than them. The EVO/god debate might end in the next 1000 years, if Jesus has not arrived or Armageddon has not happened, or if the world is taken over by the religious fanatics. 9) Creationists argue that evolution is a theory. a) COMMON usage is NOT PROPER USAGE. b) have they any idea of scientific ideas and methodology? Do they even learn science at school? Also if Jesus EVER returns like he said, I think that will sort everyone out. I'll be waiting. 10) Using CAPS to show their opinion. common sense: 'there are two sexes', snails are hermaphrodite that is male and female, fish can change the gender, 'virgin' sharks (female offspring only) and Komodo Dragons (male offspring only) can have babies without a male. The bible said that all females shall have pains of birthing but it seems that god messed up because male seahorses give birth. thank you for reading.
Part 3: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=DNZ3WznOhbg A War on Science The theory of evolution is under attack from a controversial new idea called intelligent design. But is it science? When Charles Darwin published his theory of evolution nearly 150 years ago, he shattered the dominant belief of his day -- that humans were the product of divine creation. Through his observations of nature, Darwin proposed the theory of evolution by natural selection. This caused uproar. After all, if the story of creation could be doubted, so too could the existence of the creator. Ever since its proposal, this cornerstone of biology has sustained wave after wave of attack. Now some scientists fear it is facing the most formidable challenge yet: a controversial new theory called intelligent design. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/war.shtml Also a great video by cdk007 showing a theory for the possible evolution of the bacterial flagellum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdwTwNPyR9w

From the tales of Ancient Mesopotamia to the powerful gods of the Egyptians. The mighty Greeks to the far off Aztecs. We see reports in ancient mythologies of mysterious beings that descended from the heavens. More specific gods with the credit of knowledge, healing, life and mans creation. Can it be true that we were intelligently designed? Mesopotamian gods of creation Enki - The god of water and the fertile earth Ninhursag - Enki's sister, Minor synonyms include Ninzinak-lady of the embryo; Nindim- lady fashioner; Nagarsagak-carpenter of insides Ningishzidda - The patron of medicine, and may also be considered a God of nature, as his name in Sumerian means "lord of the good tree" Egyptians Thoth -Thoth - god of the moon, drawing, writing, geometry, wisdom, medicine, music, astronomy, and magic Greek Hermes- god of boundaries and of the travelers who cross them, of shepherds and cowherds, of orators and wit, of literature and poets, of athletics, of weights and measures, of invention, of commerce in general Aztec Quetzalcoatl (quetzal-feathered serpent) - creator god and patron of rulership, priests and merchants. Associated with Ehecatl as the divine wind These gods or divine beings are always associated with life or knowledge. If there is a birth they are usually depicted there. For some reason, all these "gods" are always pictured with or near some type of coiled serpent, water/bucket of life, or the tree of life. these symbols of knowledge and medicine has stuck with mankind from the days of the Sumerian's. Can there be a correlation between these images of coiled snakes and human DNA? Was there truly a "Intelligent Interference"?. Meaning humans did evolve here but at some point in time was "altered" in the image of the gods? Please take these images to heart. Note the similarities in all. Then please think of the distance involved with some of these peoples. The Aztecs were nowhere near any of these cultures. Yet similar depictions are there as well. Were these actual gods, extraterrestrials, or simple human imagination that infected the world? I leave u with a tale from ancient Egypt. The story is about the gods Set, Osiris, Isis(Osiris' wife) and Thoth. Set was in dispute with Osiris over who ruled the lands. Set killed the mighty god Osiris to acquire his domain and be the dominant god. Isis brought the body to Thoth. Thoth revived him. Set killed him a second time. this time chopping him up. Isis was in despair. Osiris can no longer be revived and she has no heir to claim the lands of his father. so the lands we officially Sets. Thoth took from a limb of osiris. The "essence of osiris" And placed it in Isis womb. She gave birth to an heir Horus. Horus was the rightful heir, Seth lost his control.

Both clips are from Neil deGrasse Tyson's presentation titled "The Perimeter of Ignorance" at Beyond Belief 2006.
