Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, by director Peter Joseph, is a feature length documentary work which will present a case for a needed transition out of the current socioeconomic monetary paradigm which governs the entire world society. This subject matter will transcend the issues of cultural relativism and traditional ideology and move to relate the core, empirical "life ground" attributes of human and social survival, extrapolating those immutable natural laws into a new sustainable social paradigm called a "Resource-Based Economy". *** Timecodes below for expert/intermediate/novice starts. *** I messed up and accidentally *didn't* record the race. Pushed the "record" button on the line thinking I was turning it on, when in fact it was already recording and I ended up turning it off. :( Anyway this video shows the expert, intermediate, and novice starts. This was an insane race. Results show 113 DNFs out of 376 riders -- 30% DNF. In my class there were 5 riders, 2 of whom didn't finish. I got last place of the finishers (3rd of the 3 HWT BEGINNER finishers), but I'm just happy I finished. I was doing well and was pretty far ahead after the bomb. I lost a few positions on a rocky downhill run after I laid it down there, then I got in a pretty massive wreck in a little rocky canyon. Hit a rock wrong, lost control, and was thrown off. I hurt my knee which felt like the old injury so I stayed off it for a while, obviously losing my position. I thought I wasn't going to be able to ride it out, but after 10 minutes or so I got back on and just took it easy the rest of the race. Had another wreck up on a rocky trail later on toward the end of the race. Definitely investing in a Scotts steering damper after this experience! Recorded January 23, 2011. ***TIMECODES*** 1:55 Expert start 2:58 Intermediate start 3:19 Novice start
