MEDIA ADVISORY FORIMMEDIATERELEASE WHAT: Public Rally/Protest Against Secret Courts in Scott County WHERE: Scott County Courthouse, 4th Street, Downtown Davenport WHEN: Saturday, June 26th, 2010 - 10 am - 12 pm WHO: SuperLiberty, A Local Liberty Alliance Contact: Michael Elliott - (563) 570-5395 Persons living in Scott county, increasingly concerned with the over reach of the People's government, will be demonstrating in front of the Scott County Courthouse this Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 pm The protest is an effort to bring awareness to the recent Administrative Order by Bobbi M. Alpers, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial District Court of Iowa, that states: "THE POSSESSION AND/OR USE OF ELECTRONIC AND/OR DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES WITHIN THE SCOTT COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS PROHIBITED." The order is considered unlawful by the organizers, and is considered to be in violation of the United States and Iowa constitutions. Further, the organizers hope to bring awareness to the hypocrisy of the restrictions on everyday average people, due to the several exceptions in the order, including: "Attorneys admitted to the Bar in the State of Iowa or Illinois." Event organizer Michael Elliott stated in a letter sent to all Iowa legislators, "The courts are a public place for citizens to handle disputes and infringements of their Life, Liberties and Property, not a private venue of the State. Secret government operations open the door to corruption and malfeasance which we ...

rumur.com www.franklinscandal.com johnnygosch.com www.franklinscandal.com A Carefully Crafted Hoax is a feature investigative documentary that examines child prostitution and sexual exploitation in America by focusing on the well-documented story of Johnny Gosch, a paperboy adbucted in Des Moines, Iowa, and its connection to a notorious pedophile network based in Nebraska. The shocking disclosures begin at an old brick warehouse in a seedy section of Washington, DC, progressing through the $40 million dollar bust-out of a nondescript Midwestern credit union and then back to a DC party-house that was wired for blackmail. A tragic tale that tears at your heart and rips your soul, A Carefully Crafted Hoax proves that child-pandering was covered up from the utmost pinnacle of power - using the CIA, FBI, Secret Service and a corrupt judicial process. Every 40 seconds a child is abducted or goes missing in the United States. Some have run away, some have strayed from their parents and are temporarily lost, but many others fall through the cracks and become entangled in the webs of predators - only to end up being abused, enslaved, pandered, or worse. An estimated 100000 to 300000 American children under 18 years of age are victimized through prostitution every year. The traumatic effect that losing a child has on the families and communities would lead one to believe that protecting our nation's youth would be law enforcement's top priority, but Shared Hope International, a sex ...

On the day Sonia Sotomayor is expected to be confirmed to the Supreme Court, Sen. Charles Schumer argues that she is "clearly a moderate" and will do an outstanding job on the high court. "I am so proud to cast my vote for Judge Sonia Sotomayor." He also takes Republicans to task for going to the "wise Latina woman" well one too many times. "Should three words outweigh 3000 cases? Only if you have something against her in the first place," Schumer argues.
On the day that Judge Sonia Sotomayor is expected to be confirmed to the Supreme Court, Republican Iowa Senator Charles Grassley reiterates that she does not have "the right judicial philosophy" to be on the high court. He also thinks that choices by President Obama, such as this one, are "dangerous."
Prior to the July 28 Senate Judiciary Committee vote, Senator Grassley delivers a statement outlining why he cannot support the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to become an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court.
Senator Grassley used his opportunity at today's confirmation hearing to ask Judge Sotomayor about her judicial philosophy as it relates to property rights, an issue important to Iowa and rural America.

Yea baby, score another one for the East Coast! Is my beloved NY to be next? There's been some rumbling about this in the NYS Senate. As for you guys on the West Coast, get with the program! :) I just love how the Religious Right talk about not wanting "San Francisco values" and "Pelosi Politics" to come to Washington DC, when in fact, gay marriage is coming from DC's very close neighbors on the East Coast. New England is fast becoming America's Scandinavia, with Rhode Island being the last holdout. I never imagined that things would move this fast these few months. WHile California was a big loss, the recent gains give us a net win. A big win, in fact, given the shock and awe of Iowa. Furthermore, the last two states to approve gay marriage, New Hampshire and Maine, did so via the State Senate, not "activist judges." So much for the Right's tired old complaint of "judicial activism.". Maine joins Connecticut, Massachusetts (the 2 states I can't spell!), Iowa and Vermont, with New Hampshire soon to follow. Of note, half of those states, Conn, Mass and New Hampshire were part of the original 13 colonies. ======== Washington DC is going through its own transformation. Yesterday, the DC Council voted to recognize gay marriages from other jurisdictions, 12-to-1. The only member to vote against it is former drug-dealing mayor, Marion Barry. The final approval goes to Congress, which will very likely vote against it. As expected, fierce disapproval is coming from DC's powerful ...

The state supreme court ruling out of Iowa last week on marriage makes you wonder if they are doing more than making ethanol with the corn up there. It was a staggering decision by an unelected group of judges that is nothing more than a judicial shotgun wedding forcing same-sex marriage on an unwilling populace. The states highest court, in a unanimous decision, ruled the Iowa Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional saying the definition of marriage as the union of a man and a woman resulted in the denial of marriage benefits to same-sex couples, particularly, the personal and public affirmation that accompanies marriage. The court analyzed the statute solely on equal protection grounds, arguing that equal protection can only be defined by the standards of each generation. While they will forcefully deny it, this opens the door to other redefinitions of marriage. If there are no legal grounds to deny two people of the same-sex the right to civil marriage, there are no grounds to deny three people the right to marry, or the right of an adult and a minor to marry. Deny as they might they have opened a social Pandoras box. Shouldnt policy decision such as same-sex marriage, which departs from over 5000 year of human behavior, at least be debated by the elected representatives of the people? The legislature and the governor appear to be desperately trying not to respond, surrendering their policy making authority to the court. While amendment the constitution is easy for ...
