I updated my unlocked/jailbroken 3GS from 3.1.2 firmware to 3.1.3 and now my phone does not work and will not work until someone ("blackrain" etc) comes up with a way to hack in and re-unlock/jailbrake! This is not cool and I hope I am not the only idiot who did this update without realizing that there was no way to re-unlock. I fear that my phone is locked forever! I would even downgrade to 3.1.2 if that process was proven to work 100% of the time!

Three easy steps: 1. Download and run redsn0w and follow steps. You will also need to run ih8sn0w to load the custom firmware update onto your iPhone. (There should be plenty of videos on this. 2. search for UltraSn0w on Cydia on your iphone and install the app. iPhone will reboot. 3. go back to cydia and search for fuzzyband app and install it. once istalled, run fuzzyband to downgrade Modem Firmware to 04.26.08. Turn off the iPhone and turn it back on and you should have your unlocked service in no time!!! I am using the iPhone 3g so hopefully it works on the 3g(s) as well. Good luck!!!
