iPhone alarms not working come New Year's Day 2011 We're not exactly sure of the cause of this fancy new issue affecting Apple's super cool iPhone line of cellphones, but apparently you've got trouble come 1/1/2011. According to an explosive stream of frustration-filled tweets on the Twitter microblogging service, when the clock strikes midnight, one off alarms will cease to sing out. The DST bug that was affecting Australian iPhone users' alarm clocks is now affecting European iPhone users, according to a TiPb report, as the switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard time happened over night. Recurring alarms are not catching the clock time change and therefore alarms went off late this morning. iHome iH15 LED Color-Changing Speaker Cube. Sounds much better than my laptop speakers. Though my laptop speakers are pretty shitty. (vostro 1500) Download iHomes iPhone App and it makes for a nice alarm clock. One is able to set a song or a playlist of songs to wake up to. I wish it had an option to use AA batteries though. This cube + eneloops woulda been awesome. Pros: • iHome's alarm app is really nice (free) • sounds pretty good for what I paid [$20], • nice colour changing options, • aux in, • buttons work well, • works with the iphones equalizer semi-cons: • turning brightness up would have been a nice feature, • woulda been nice if lights flashed with the song's beat, • no alarm/clock but my ipod has an alarm (using the ihome app) and clock • iHomes app doesn't turn the color cube on when the alarm goes off...one must keep the color cube on during the nite (not that big of a problem though) cons: • no remote, • can't use AA batteries • doesn't sound as good as Z-2300's (z2300's can be had for $80 and this cube is $50) iso 1600-3200 I think.. and 24fps

So I updated my iPhone 3G with the iOS 4 software update. I wish I can go back in time to stop myself from doing this. The update itself was smooth. I think it was partly because I did a fresh install. Right off the bat, I found that the iPhone is much slower. Folders don't open as quickly as my friend's 3Gs, and the camera is still quite slow to load and snap some a picture. I found that resource intensive applications take a while to load is is more prone to crashing. Speaking of crashing, I found that the iPod application crashes while I am playing my podcasts in the background and working on some resource heavy applications. I expect 3rd party apps to crash, but not apple own. I found that home screen icons disappear from me which never happened with the previous software. THe battery has taken some hit. I used to be able to sleep and use my iPhone as an alarm, but found that I barely have enough battery juice when I get up in the morning. Result is I have to put my phone on airplane mode. I have been using my phone like normal and think that the battery is being affected. I even power cycled my battery and still no luck. There are time when the phone just shows the white apple logo with the back background. It seems like the phone restarted itself, but it gets stuck to that logo. I have to so a soft reset by pressing the power and the home button at the same time and holding it. This is frustrating if I am in a rush to use my phone. It has happened 3 times in the ...

I found that while using my iPhone as an alarm clock was a good experience, using good songs as alarm clock sounds was not a good thing. Good songs work great as ringtones, but when you start associating them with being woken up from a great sleep, it's not good. So I made this little ditty. It tells me that it's time to wake up, and the only one I will be annoyed with is myself! Will I still feel positively about this in a few weeks time? I'll just have to wait and see. But no. I'll hate it. The toon is there to make it easier to send to people, and to ensure those folks I send it to can understand the words.

This vehicle can into Traffic Jamz to fix an installed done else where. Traffic Jamz fixed the wiring on this customer's Kenwood double din navigation unit. The Viper 2-way alarm/remote start was not working so Traffic Jamz went through all the wiring and found the main problem to be a crushed relay pack. This customer was so happy with Traffic Jamz's problem solving skills and workmanship that he felt confident to have Traffic Jamz install a police scanner.
