As a fallout of the Operation Tatkal by STAR News, IRCTC starts probe regarding internet Tatkal booking by agents.
Jaipur: If you want to book a Tatkal ticket, it has to be done by the IRCTC website. To prevent the tatkal ticket from passing into the hands of touts, the railways has allowed only users to log-on to the website between 8am to 9 am. However, this claim of the railways is baseless. STAR News has discovered that brokers are using a special software to earn a hefty profit.

Getting a ticket through tatkal is just next to impossible esp. during rush hours, mostly because of agents-railway employee nexsus. IRCTC.CO.IN server stops responding as soon as clock strikes 8 in the morning and remains deas till all tatkal seats are exhausted. I would like to believe that its just a technical problem than a manipulated move.I tried to get a tatkal ticket booked. Went to Patiala Railway station three days in ago. At 6 am on day1,5am on day2 and 4am on day 3-but in the end all I got was frustration and disappointment.
