The Sarah jane Adventures - Series One, Episode Five Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?
Was watching a video the other day about a crazed blonde woman with over-the-top fashion and makeup, who had a penchant for homicide and questionable cuisine, was completely obsessed with her telephone, and had a brunette companion who was completely subjugated by her. You gotta hand it to "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane" - they don't write them like that anymore and nobody did crazy like Bette Davis! And then it struck me...this eerily resembles a certain other dynamic duo's video about a trifecta of telephones, homicide and sandwiches... Thus was born my homage to Lady Gaga and Beyonce's classic video "Telephone" as told by Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Enjoy!
clip 1 - "The Haircut" This is a clip from the 1990/1991 television film, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? starring real-life sisters Lynn & Vanessa Redgrave. It has been mostly forgotten due to the many negative comparisons of it to the original film starring Bette Davis & Joan Crawford. This film was not just a remake, but a retelling of the story. The emotions and events are very different and I believe this film is as great as the original. Lynn Redgrave's portrayal of Jane Hudson is phenomenal, as you will see from these clips. I wanted to post these in memory of her - she just passed away this week and there was nothing here on YouTube of her great performance as Baby Jane Hudson. RIP Lynn.......8 March 1943 2 May 2010

www.dorisday.com www.dorisday.net www.amazon.com For Doris and her millions of fans the world around ... Doris Day -- Doris Mary Anne von Kappelhoff (born April 3, 1922)[1], known by her stage name Doris Day, is an American singer and actress (in case we still don't know). Able to sing, dance and play comedy and dramatic roles, she became one of the biggest box-office stars ever. Doris has 39 movies to her credit, even though she retired from films in 1968. She also has done more than 75 hours of television and is one of the most prolific recording artists in history having recorded over 650 songs. She is an Academy Award nominee, as well as a Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner. In 1989, Doris received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement in motion pictures. She is currently the top ranking female box-office star of all time according to the annual Quigley Publishing poll's All-Time Number One Stars list, ranking #6 of the top ten of mostly male stars (the only other female on the list is Shirley Temple).[2] en.wikipedia.org Doris in order of appearance in this video with co-stars: Kirk Douglas (Young Man With A Horn, 1950), Cameron Mitchell (Love Me Or Leave Me, 1955), James Cagney (Love Me Or Leave Me, 1955), Louis Jourdan (Julie, 1956), Ronald Reagan (The Winning Team, 1952), Louis Jourdan (Julie, 1956), Jack Carson (Romance On The High Seas, 1948), Danny Thomas (I'll See You In My Dreams, 1951), James Cagney (The West Point Story, 1950), Danny Thomas ...
The scariest and funniest movie musical number ever, Bette Davis shrieks through this one all the way to another Oscar nod in Robert Aldrich's classic "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?" co-starring Joan Crawford (of course!) and Victor Buono (Oscar-nominated, too) on the accompaniment.
This is the wonderfully amazing Doris Day singing "It Happened to Jane" from her 1959 movie with the same title. I made this video in the car on a vacation, so I had to use pictures that were already saved in my computer, but I tried to make the pictures go with the song. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it.
Music video by LA Guns performing The Ballad Of Jayne. (C) 1989 Universal Records, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc.
sung by Bette Davis and Debbie Burton, who supplied the singing voice of little jane in the film.

An astounding video uncovered from the archives today shows the BBC reporting on the collapse of WTC Building 7 over twenty minutes before it fell at 5:20pm on the afternoon of more 9/11. The incredible footage shows BBC reporter Jane Standley talking about the collapse of the Salomon Brothers Building while it remains standing in the live shot behind her head. How did the BBC know that it was going to collapse? And why did they report the collapse when it is clearly standing in the background? Video Originally Posted February 27, 2007 by user OneDeadDJ. As a child, "Baby Jane" Hudson was the toast of vaudeville. As an adult, however, Baby Jane was overshadowed by her more talented sister, Blanche, who became a top movie star. Then, one night in the early '30s, came the accident, which crippled Blanche for life and which was blamed on a drunken, jealous Jane. Flash-forward to 1962: Jane (Bette Davis), decked out in garish chalk-white makeup, still lives with the invalid Blanche (Joan Crawford) in their decaying LA mansion. When Jane isn't ...

In a lengthy prologue, we are introduced to six-year-old Baby Jane Hudson, a highly successful vaudeville performer, and her older sister Blanche, who remains in her shadow. As the two become adults, however, Jane fades into obscurity while Blanche becomes a renowned film actress. At the height of her career, Blanche is paralyzed in an automobile accident for which the alcoholic Jane is held responsible. As the years pass, the two become recluses in their decaying mansion, where Jane cares for Blanche. When she learns Blanche is planning to sell the house and perhaps place her in a home, Jane holds her prisoner and subjects her to sadistic verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. Becoming increasingly demented, she thwarts Blanche's efforts to contact the neighbor and kills their maid Elvira when she becomes aware of the situation. Jane decides to stage a comeback and hires shiftless pianist Edwin Flagg to accompany her. Although he immediately realizes she has no talent, he goes along with her plan in order to earn his fee. When he discovers Blanche gagged and bound in her bedroom and flees from the house, Jane fears he may call the police and ...
