New US Presidential Gallery Will Feature All 44 US Presidents Serving as the perfect tie-in to Presidents Week, donning construction hats amid a room decorated in red, white and blue bunting and banners, Mayor Adrian Fenty joined Janine digioacchino, General Manager of Madame Tussauds New York and Washington DC to announce plans for the creation of a new $2 million-plus US Presidential Gallery that will house wax figures of all 44 US presidents—nine of which made their debuts at the event. Scheduled to open in fall 2010, the launch of the Gallery will make Madame Tussauds DC the only place in the world where people can see and interact with all 44 US presidents. At the event Mayor Fenty helped unveil artist renderings of the new gallery and spoke briefly while attendees admired the nine new wax figures of US presidents that were on display: John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, James Garfield, Chester Alan Arthur, Grover Cleveland and Gerald Ford. Additionally, 30 first grade students were on-hand from DC Public School Cleveland Elementary to meet the new wax figure of the US president for whom their school is named, Grover Cleveland.

Tuesday night, friends and family held a candle light vigil for two of the four victims. Three people were fatally shot and another wounded when two men opened fire at a house on the city's east side on Novara near Seven Mile and Hayes. Police haven't determined a motive, but Deputy Chief James Tolbert tells The Detroit News that Monday night's attack was planned. Spokesman John Roach says that two men, ages 24 and 33, and a 35-year-old woman were shot fatally in the head. A 37-year-old man from Macomb County's Harrison Township was shot several times before reporting the shootings about 9 pm He is hospitalized in critical condition. "You just took a woman away from seven beautiful kids," said Glynn Daniels, who was married to Shaytona Daniels for almost 15 years. The mother of seven children ranging in age from one to 18 was among the victims. Daniels family doesn't have the money to bury her. The Daniels Memorial Fund has been set up at TCF Bank. "Just going to be very difficult to do this, and I just want you all to reach out and try to help us in some kind of way. That's all I need is some help," Daniels said. Police describe one suspect as a thin man with a goatee who was carrying two handguns. The second suspect is described as a man with a heavy build. Both fled in a white Dodge Charger with Florida license plates.
