Jan-Michael Vincent would be the first to record "Stray Dogs". It was written by Jimmy Baker in 1975 while staff writing for Warner Brothers, and when he played it for his friend Jan-Michael, the actor couldn't wait to try singing it. After filming on "Big Wednesday" was finished, Jan booked some time at a recording studio. Jimmy produced the session and approached Warner Brothers with the product, but WB, leery of the somewhat provocative lyric, passed on the song. The record was never released. The master tape was unfortunately lost when Jimmy's home in Topanga Beach, Malibu, was destroyed by the flood of '76, and Jan-Michael (thinking Jimmy still had the master tape) gave away all his own copies. Those copies are out there somewhere. After leaving WB in 1980, Jimmy returned to the stage with his new band The Lone Stars, featuring players he had worked with over the years. As fate would have it, the drummer and fiddle player had also played on the original Jan-Michael sessions. Soon, the three were headed back to the studio where they recorded the timeless classic you hear today, with Jimmy singing lead.

Econstories.tv is a place to learn about the economic way of thinking through the eyes of creative director John Papola and creative economist Russ Roberts. In Fear the Boom and Bust, John Maynard Keynes and FA Hayek, two of the great economists of the 20th century, come back to life to attend an economics conference on the economic crisis. Before the conference begins, and at the insistence of Lord Keynes, they go out for a night on the town and sing about why there's a "boom and bust" cycle in modern economies and good reason to fear it. Get the full lyrics, story and free download of the song in high quality MP3 and AAC files at: www.econstories.tv Plus, to see and hear more from the stars of Fear the Boom and Bust, Billy Scafuri and Adam Lustick, visit their site www.billyandadam.com Music was produced by Jack Bradley at Blackboard3 Music and Sound Design. Here they are! Four great hits of the King of the pop! Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough; Billy Jean, Thriller and Bad melt in this megamix. It has been really pleasant and exciting plonging in the past in order to mix these historic tracks which, in many ways, have changed the history of modern music. A little contribution to a great artist!

It was written by Jackson and produced by Quincy Jones for the singer's sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). Originally disliked by Jones, the track was almost removed from the album after he and Jackson had numerous disagreements. The song's lyrics refer to a real-life experience, in which a mentally ill female fan claimed that Jackson fathered one of her twins. The song is well known for its distinctive bass line and Jackson's vocal hiccups. Following the successful chart performances of Thriller and "The Girl Is Mine", "Billie Jean" was released on January 2, 1983, as the album's second single. "Billie Jean" was a worldwide commercial and critical success; it became one of the best-selling singles of 1983, and topped both the US and UK charts simultaneously. "Billie Jean" was certified platinum in 1989. Honoured numerous times—including two Grammy Awards, one American Music Award and an induction into the Music Video Producers Hall of Fame—the song and corresponding music video propelled Thriller into the best-selling album of all time. The song was promoted with a short film that broke down MTV's racial barrier as the first video by a black artist to be aired by the channel,[1] and an Emmy-nominated performance on Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, in which Jackson premiered "the moonwalk ...

Mitch Richmond, Western Conference Player of the Week, had 28 points (12-for-26), 9 rebounds and 6 assists, but was held to 5 points in the final quarter -- a period he often dominates -- while Jordan scored 9 points during a 13-4 Chicago run down the stretch. The win gave Chicago a 39-5 record in the Eastern Conference.
