Blood on the dance floor live audio sucks, but whatever. 2-14-10 the social, Orlando
Three song previews off of Blood on the Dance Floor's upcoming album "EPIC!" These are in low quality due to my phone being a bitch the day I recorded these. Dahvie played these previews during his stickam show on February 6. (www.stickam.com/madradhair) I do not own these songs. They belong to BOTDF. Not me. PS Ignore some of those background noises. It was my skype going off and some of the people in the stickam show were making noise. Those bitches.

The single, a cover of an earlier Don & Dewey song, was the pair's first recording for the Montel label of Louisiana. Some credit it as the first swamp pop tune ever to claim the top spot on US charts. The ballad also performed well in the UK but it did not enter the Top 40.

Greg Trooper covers Hank Williams' Long Gone Lonesome Blues to kick off 2008 in the bloombox House Concert series. Here he slips in some country yodeling and yes, it was worth the wait for it and the encore. Read more about the concert at the first Trooper/bloombox youtube I posted, When My Tears Break Thru. In this song, Troop covers Hank but Troop has also been covered by some heavy hitters as well including an artist once hailed as the next Hank--Steve Earle--with many Billboard charted songs. Steve had this to say about "his" Little Sister on the Floating liner notes on Greg's album. It comes from someone else who writes almost all of his own songs, with Troop and a select few being rare exceptions. This tidbit from Steve's website raves about Greg and a few of his songs like Muhammed Ali and the meaning of Christmas, which Troop treated us to during the concert... === from steveearle.net Greg Trooper: Floating By Steve Earle I'm what they call a singer-songwriter. That either means that my gift is primarily literary and that if I didn't write songs no one would pay to hear me sing or that my songs are so weird that no one else will sing 'em, leaving me no option except to do it myself -- or maybe both. Having been hyphenated at a tender age, I have rarely covered other people's songs. I write a lot and my own studio records usually contain some thread (sometimes so thin that only I can follow it) that holds them together, somehow. Covers are out of the question for ...
