My holiday trip in the old city of Grasse, France ( The Perfume Capital Of the World)July 12, 2010. The setting of the 1985 novel "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind were Jean-Baptiste Grenouillefinds work in Grasse assisting with perfumes and learns the method of enfleurage to capture essential oils. After some experimenting with the general principles of enfleurage, he succeeds in preserving the scent of a woman by cutting her hair, covering her in animal fat, and then distilling the fat. To force the woman to undergo the procedure, he must kill her. Grenouille embarks on a killing spree, murdering beautiful young women and capturing their scents. He dumps the women's naked corpses around the city, creating an uproar that threatens to tear the city apart.

le parallèle entre la vie d'un meurtrier et le comportement primaire d'une simple tique m'a interpellé,,,il ne m'en fallait pas plus pour amalgamer mes sons récupérés ci et là...je suis parti de la base de ce recital de Jean Sebastien Bach:alt wir müssen durch viel trübsal,que j'ai légèrement acceleré,puis arrangé en inversant parfois la bande de lecture,,,,pour l'accompagnement,il sagit d'un rythme retouché et arrangé de Orishas,de l'album o la cubano,,,Bario...Le parfum,Jean Baptiste Grenouille,au 18 eme siecle, vécut en France et compta parmi les plus horribles et géniaux personnages de son époque.Sa naissance,son enfance,furent épouvantables et tout autre que lui n'aurait pas survécu...Ce monstre de Grenouille,car il sagissait bel et bien d'un genre de monstre,avait un don,ou plutot un nez unique au monde,et il entendait bien devenir,même par les moyens les plus atroces,le Dieu tout -puissant,car "qui maîtrisait les odeurs,maîtrisait le coeur des hommes"... L'adaptation filmatographique n'est pas à la hauteur du Roman,bien trop édulcorée,mais n'en demeure pas moins une belle approche de ce qu'a été son parcours. un chef d'oeuvre de Patrick Süskind...
