One in a series of five interviews with the designers who participated in the Architectural League's 2009 exhibition, Toward the Sentient City, in which they reflect on how their work explores implications of ubiquitous computing for architecture and urban space.
The field trips will gather experts and amateurs alike for a siren-watch across the city, applying the observation and audio surveillance techniques of local wildlife groups and the sonic analysis of a New York City department of environmental acoustics.
