a short video of jeremy's baptism... I remember the day jeremy gave his life to Christ. we were all having bible study at deegans and he had so many questions. Throughout our study of scripture it seemed that he had a good understanding that jesus was God. He understood that our human nature is sinful and that we need to be saved in order to go to heaven. I told him that God created us to be part of his family and that our sin had seperated us from him. I also told him that God loved us so much that he came to this earth, was born a man and allowed himself to die on the cross so that we could be reunited with Him and be a family again. I asked him, Have you ever given your life to Christ? I remember very clearly he said to me, "i dont know, no one has ever asked me that before, but i dont think so". So I said, do you want to give your life to Christ now? He said "yes I do". I read to him Romans 10 and took him to the place were it says, that if you would confess with your mouth that jesus is lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, but with your mouth confession is made for salvation". I asked him if he wanted to confess Christ as his lord and He said yes. we then prayed a short prayer with him repeating after me something to the affect of.... Lord Jesus, I believe you are God. I believe you came to this earth, died and rose again for my sin. I ask you to forgive me for my sin ...
