A move by Qantas to use New Zealand based subsidiary to employ pilots on 40 per cent less than their Australian colleagues is being challenged in Fair Work Australia. The Australian and International Pilots Association, backed up by the ACTU, are fighting the move to off shore Australian jobs to cheaper countries.

Introduction The Bio-Sparge has been developed by Bodo Ltd to meet the challenges facing your livestock business. Anywhere animals are kept on todays modern farms we run the risk of importing dieses and viruses by employees, farm traffic, service vans, feed lorries, vets cars, animal transportation, and dead collection lorries. Traditionally a hand spray, knapsack sprayer or watering can has been the main disinfectant defence at the farm entrances, with at best a cursory splash of disinfectant sprayed to the tops of the incoming vehicles wheels, or worst the drivers driving straight passed your Bio-security measures and on to your farm bringing any and all collected dust and debris from the last farms feed mills or hatcheries that the vehicles had been to on any given day. With the Bio-Sparge any and all vehicles are misted automatically with a fine biodegradable spray solution, strong enough to disinfect but not to damage paintwork or aluminium wheels. The mist can be adjusted to cover up the sides underneath and the front of back as needed. Shutting the windows and turning off the ventilation fans ensures protection to the driver as the vehicle passes through the chemical mist. The farm traffic is sanitized on farm entry and on farm exit ensuring that your farm is protected and any challenges you may have are eliminated. With an adjustable doser pump the chemical usage could be low at ½%(200-1) rising to 2%(50-1) when outbreaks are reported in your area. With a 30 ...

QF2772 ZQN-CHC (Queenstown to Christchurch) with operating equipment Qantas (Jetconnect) Boeing 737-300 ZK-JNB takes off from Queenstown airport (luckily just before things are starting to get quite dark!). There is a shot of Queenstown after take off and make our way to cruising altitude. (May 2009)
Qantas (Jetconnect) Boeing 737-300 ZK-JNB landing at ZQN (Queenstown, New Zealand) airport. As soon as the plane lands, QF2772 (my next flight) ZQN-CHC is called for completing the check-in formalities and a request for all to go through security. A NZ ATR is also parked and ready to go as soon as JNB docks successfully at gate and the runway is clear. At the beginning, it is difficult to see the aircraft because it is well camouflaged by the snow capped mountains. I wish I could make a better video, but my simple point-and-shoot Sony camera has its zoom limitations (the human eyes are far, far better!), plus my camera has the limitation that it cannot change zoom whilst recording a video.
