#48 AnnaReturns - Takes place after Gillian's funeral. Anna reveals that she can come out of hiding. Erica lays into both Alex and Anna. I will be posting Gillian's funeral separately as it's the Purgatory episodes where Gillian is counselled by Jesse, Natalie, Cindy and a few other notables stuck between heaven and the other place.
General Hospital March 16th, 2012 Robin's Memorial Continues Spinelli continues to try to persuade Maxie into coming into the funeral, Sonny finishes his speech and leaves the church. Then, Anna shares fond memories of her daughter (and us fans are treated to some very classic flashbacks!!!!) Then, everyone finds out that Robert left a letter to be read at the funeral, by Luke Spencer. Later, Patrick tries to speak, but ends up getting too emotional. Maxie's grief takes over and she tells everyone that she killed Robin.

Quick note: In my review I mention the fact that the whole family slept in was a lame idea..well it makes more sense now that I remembered that the the houses' power was out..still couldn't they have used one of those old timey alarm clocks? Part one of my review of the holiday classic, Home Alone(1990) starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Roberts Blossom, Catherine O'Hara, Angela Goethals, Devin Ratray, and John Candy. Directed by Chris Columbus. Trivia John Candy filmed his part in only 1 day, albeit an extremely long 23-hour day. The story about having once forgotten his son at a funeral home was entirely improvised. His part is obviously inspired by the character he played in Planes, Trains & Automobiles also written by John Hughes The concept for this movie originated during the filming of a scene in Uncle Buck in which Macaulay Culkin plays a character who interrogates a would-be-babysitter through a letterbox. The movie that Kevin watches on video tape is not a real film, but footage especially created. It was called "Angels With Filthy Souls." Along with other similar era references in the movie, this is a play upon the movie Angels with Dirty Faces starring James Cagney. The role of Uncle Frank was written for Kelsey Grammer. Joe Pesci's character, Harry Lime, is named after Orson Welles's character from the film The Third Man. Jeffrey Wiseman who plays the inquisitive neighbor, Mitch Murphy, auditioned for the role of Kevin McCallister ...

Home Alone (film): Home Alone is a 1990 American Christmas comedy film written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The film stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy, who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to Paris for their Christmas vacation. While initially relishing time by himself, he is later greeted by two would-be burglars played by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci. Kevin eventually manages to outwit them with a series of booby traps. The film also features Catherine O'Hara, John Heard, Devin Ratray and Roberts Blossom. Immediately and consistently popular, Home Alone remains the highest grossing live-action comedy of all time. Macaulay Culkin was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his performance as Kevin McCallister, becoming the youngest actor ever to be nominated for the award at the age of 11. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score. Cast: Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister: An eight-year-old who comes from a big family and usually gets into trouble with them. One night he wishes for them to disappear and gets his wish, but later on, he learns that it is not really fun being alone. He then defends his house from Harry and Marv by using booby traps. Joe Pesci as Harry Lyme: The short leader of The Wet Bandits who tries to break into Kevin's house. Daniel Stern as Marv Merchants: The tall member of The Wet Bandits ...
John Candy www.shanagrant.com John Franklin Candy (October 31, 1950 -- March 4, 1994) was a Canadian actor and comedian. He rose to fame as a member of the Toronto, Ontario branch of The Second City, its related Second City Television series, and in his role in comedy films such as Stripes, Splash, Cool Runnings, The Great Outdoors, and Uncle Buck. One of his most renowned onscreen performances was that of Del Griffith, the loquacious, on the move, shower curtain ring salesman in the John Hughes comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Candy struggled with obesity throughout his adult life. During the late 1980s and early 1990s he put on a lot of additional weight, though he made a significant effort to improve his overall health in the last year of his life. He had quit smoking and had begun losing weight. However, in 1994 while filming Wagons East! on location in Durango, Mexico, Candy called his friends, including Canadian Football League commissioner Larry Smith, and told them that he had just let go of his team and was putting it up for sale. He then called his assistant, who invited him to play golf with him in the spring when he came back to Toronto. After cooking a late pasta dinner for his assistants, Candy called his co-stars from his hotel, then went to sleep. After midnight, on March 4, Candy died in his sleep from a heart attack at age 43.[6] His funeral was held at St. Martin of Tours Church. Candy was interred in the mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver ...

Rupert Morris, humanist celebrant accredited by the British Humanist Association, talked to the Central London Humanist Group about Humanist Ceremonies. From his 10 years' experience, Rupert talked about these ceremonies and what makes them special. Among the issues and scenarios he explored: * Namings -- why do people want naming ceremonies? What happens? Who gets involved, and what do they get out of it? * Weddings -- the amazing variety of different ceremonies, in very different places from Richmond Hill in December to a palazzo in Ravello, from small gatherings with home-made furniture and entertainment, to big showbiz occasions involving wedding planners and Hello! Magazine; also the difficulties of working with registrars. * Funerals -- from the tragic (suicides and drug victims) to the triumphant or anarchic; working with vicars and other curiosities. Langston Hughes (1902-1967) Langston Hughes' grand uncle, John Mercer Langston, was the first black congressman elected from Virginia in 1888. [1] Born James Mercer Langston Hughes February 1, 1902, both of his parents were of mixed race. His mother Carrie (Caroline) Mercer Langston was a school teacher. His father, James Nathaniel Hughes, left the family when Langston was a child. [2] After his parents separated, Langston was raised by his maternal grandmother, Mary Patterson, in Lawrence, Kansas. [3] She impressed racial pride in the young Langston. [4] When she died he went to live with family friends James and Mary Reed. During this time his mother had been seeking employment. He reunited with his mother after she re-married in Lincoln, Illinois. [5] He attended Columbia, but left left because of racial prejudice. [6] Hughes then worked odd jobs and earned a BA From Lincoln University in 1929. His political views had developed left of center, but Arnold Rampersad writes that during WWII his views were more aligned with the center. [7] Still, in 1953, Senator Joseph McCarthy "forced him to...testify officially about his politics." [8] But, the disgrace was soon conferred on the discredited McCarthy. Langston Hughes was an influential figure in the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920's and 30's. [9] He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1935 and established a theater troupe in Los Angeles.
