The program was well produced but lacks truth, in some scenes you'll see three men (covered their head) running towards the camera in slow motion and it reminded us the famous Baywatch opening scene. In the opening, the host John Quinones tells that Somalia is a lawless state with ravaged by civil war and famine - FALSE. The Truth is - The Pirates operate in Puntland and its been peacefull since the collapse. They have a government and their president is Abdulrahnam faroole. 2:03 - The guy who went to Somalia and did this video is telling that always there is action going on and you have to duck bullets - FALSE. The Truth is - Again Puntland has been peacefull ever since the collapse. (its sad when Somalis allow a western camera crew to film and report the truth it always ends up a false accusation and the usual case of Africa is war ravaged continent where everyone is dying of hunger and famine. Other things that you'll see in this clip is a uniformed soldiers standing and in the naration they are talking about Somali pirates and the soldiers are the Puntland soldiers who are not in Eyl but in somewhere Puntland. The translator in this clip is not Somali but our question to ABC is can't you guys get a Somali translator when translating SOMALI subjects in one of your videos?.
Most passersby were eager to help a woman who collapsed in front of them. IMPORTANT CHECK THE LAST 3 VIDEO MINUTES About Linda Hamilton, After a long search, ABC News finally found the woman whose heroism touched so many viewers on a recent segment of "What Would You Do?" On the day we first met Linda Hamilton, producers did an interview with her there on the street, and offered her food, which she courteously declined. We tried to contact her the next day but the telephone number she gave us was out of service, and the Newark, NJ, street she told us she lived on didn't exist. We visited homeless shelters, soup kitchens, train stations, all to no avail. But by showing video to other homeless people and various agencies, we gradually zeroed in on one neighborhood, and a number of locations where she sometimes showed up. And, finally, Wednesday, a bodega owner That same day, John Quinones was finally able to show Hamilton the segment that had moved so many to tears. He read her some of the e-mails viewers had sent in, which caused a shy smile to flit across her face, and he gave her a pre-paid cell phone so that we could keep in contact with her. When the 42-year-old saw the cell phone, her face lit up like that of a little girl on Christmas day: "My own cell phone! I got my own cell phone! And it comes with a charger!" Until last summer, she had been living in a homeless shelter, but recently dropped completely off the grid. For at least the past few days, she has been ...
Keith Phoenix and co-defendant Hakim Scott, 25, are accused of shouting Hispanic and gay slurs as Jose Sucuzhanay and his brother walked arm-in-arm to keep warm on Dec. 7 in Brooklyn. Police said Scott hit Sucuzhanay with a beer bottle, and Phoenix savagely beat him with an aluminum baseball bat. Phoenix was found hiding Friday in a suburban New York apartment. Police had released a video showing him grinning as he paid a bridge toll shortly after Sucuzhanay, a 31-year-old real estate broker, was brutally attacked. The attack on Sucuzhanay came about a month after another Ecuadorean immigrant, Marcelo Lucero, was stabbed to death in Patchogue, on Long Island. Prosecutors said seven teenagers charged in that assault had set out to find a Hispanic person to attack. Lucero's mother and brother, Rosario and Joselo, attended the rally Thursday in support of Sucuzhanay's family. "We don't deserve treatment like that," Joselo Lucero said. "They have to stop the hate."
