Question 1: Why was this game important to you? Tony Hawk is important to me, because it was the first game that I fully related to. It was about something I loved to do outside, and Pro Skater allowed me to skate on days I couldn't go outside. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was fun because of the over the top design. It had things inside the game that every skater thought would be awesome to do in real life, and they allowed us to do them with Pro Skater.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? I feel that Metal Gear Solid is important to me, due to the fact that it was the first game I played through in one sitting. I beat the game in less then 3 hours, and this to me is one of my greatest video game moments. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? Game design wise, Metal Gear Solid was fun because it made it difficult to actually sneak past guards. The level designs were large, but they also had clutter every where making it important to choose your route wisely. This was also one of my first games that was designed not for you as a gamer to run and gun, but to stop and take time to plan your attack.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? Final Fantasy VII was my first RPG. I feel in love with the fact that I was making my character stronger, not just with weapons but spells and abilities. This game has been and always will be my favorite RPG. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? What made Final Fantasy VII fun was how awesome the game art was. The cinematic scenes looked just like a movie. The character designs were done perfectly. Also the random encounters in the open world kept the game interesting also.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game is important, because it was the first game that as a family we played together. It's a rhythm game so it was simple for all ages to get a hang of and at the time my youngest sibling was only 5, so it was great to find a game for us to bond over. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? Design wise, the game was a solid family game. The character models were very cartoonish, which just added to the fun. The game play was simple and addictive, making you want to always come back for more.
uestion 1: Why was this game important to you? Resident Evil is important to me because it was for the first game I truly became addicted to. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? The camera angles were limited so you couldn't always see around corners right away. It was realistically mapped out also, it wasn't made into an over the top game, which helped with adding to the overall suspense.
