**Please read the description before commenting!** I know I'm a couple of days late, but here's a special (belated) Valentine's Day video featuring the Light Music Club from "K-ON!" (plus a special cameo appearance by a certain anime character who did a live performance in an episode of her show) performing one of the most (if not THE most) catchy and addicting songs from the Disney cartoon, "Phineas and Ferb". Before you ask, yes, I do watch "Phineas and Ferb". It's actually quite a funny and clever Disney cartoon, and that's not something you can say about most cartoons nowadays. Anyway, I've always wanted to make a "K-ON!" AMV. And after watching "Phineas and Ferb", I figured "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" would be the perfect song for a "K-ON!" AMV. After all, the song makes little to no sense just like some of the songs in "K-ON!". It's near perfect synergy! Moving on, I attempted some more lip-synching in this video, but instead of using almost-still pictures, I tried to lip-synch with moving footage. And let me tell you, it wasn't easy. I also tried a bit of video editing, ie have two pieces of footage onscreen at the same time. I was hoping to use the full-length version of "Gitchee Gitchee Goo", but there wasn't a lot of footage of the "K-ON!" girls performing on stage. Hopefully, when Season 2 of "K-ON!" comes out, there will be more video for me to work with, and then I'll be able to remake this video using the extended version of the song. Recently the " K-ON! Gekichuka Shu Album Ho-Kago Tea Time" album came out... and included in it was the song "Watashi no Koi wa Hotch-kiss" translated roughly into "My Love is a Stapler" The live edition of this song had both Mio and Yui singing in the most cutest duet of all. Inspired, I proceeded to attempt to mix the original Fuwa Fuwa Times (in which Mio is the lead singer) with the one included in this album (in which Yui is instead) to try to get the same level of epicness as seen in episode eight... However my mixing skills may be lack luster so meh... (although I partialy blame the uploading process to you tube for ruining the carfulley acheived balance between Yui and Mio... And I'm glad I itched, because I had a helluva lot of fun charting and playing this fast-paced, energetic, happy-go-lucky piece. K-On Banzai!! --== Chart Development ==-- I really enjoyed charting this song. It took me about 4 hours to chart it from beginning to end (with hours and hours of polish afterwards). I don't know why I had so much fun charting this. Due to its enormous popularity, tabs were more readily available for this song too, so I used them as reference, as well as several fan covers just so I can figure out what other peoples' opinions were. In the end I decided to do a mix of by-ear and by-reference notes. The guitars were pretty easy to isolate in this song, so it was pretty easy to put together properly. There are still some parts I know for absolute sure need fixing, but I'll get around to them eventually. This is the first time I've actually let anyone else lay a hand in the development of my charts. My new chart editor (and also the one who made the standard and branding for all my videos) is "Coco", her nickname. At her request, I won't go into more detail than that, but if you know her, then yay! She went in and nitpicked about a few mistakes I've made, some of which I have yet to fix. You follow Yui as she goes from an inexperienced guitarist who had previously only played one type of instrument, the castanet, to a fully fledged member of the club, playing for an audience. After two days spent in computer, having downloaded 2gb of episodes and overheated my poor notebook - I finally made it! :D I'm not sure it's my the best production. So I'll be very happy if you tell me! :D Then in the future maybe I'll make better AMVs, yay :D I used this song 'cause its very joyful (a pop-rock-more-pop-than-rock-but-not-too-bad song should cheer up AMV, huh). I really wanted to make a joyful AMV, but my love for guns and blood is too strong, so it's more dark than happy, geez, and here it is - little funny + little dark = annoying creature xD Oh, or maybe I dont know much funny animes?
