Amina Kamal Khan- UrduVoaNews, Washington DC- Right after President Obama's surprise trip to Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Robert Gates also made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan Tuesday. Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Richard B Myers says ahead of the Afghan War review this month that the United States has been overly reliant on military force in Afghanistan. He suggests that the US focus more on other instruments of power as well, such as diplomacy, education, economy and information, to successfully attack the root cause of violent extremism. The General's remarks come on the heels of an Afghan opinion poll that suggests an overwhelming pessimism in Afghans today about whether US and its allies can provide security, though opinion in Helmand and Kandahar seems to show a marked shift towards optimism.

The station commander of RAF Lossiemouth has visited his troops in Afghanistan to reassure them about their future. Group Captain Andrew Hines travelled to Kandahar after the prospect that Lossiemouth could close was raised in the Strategic Defence and Security Review. A bomb hidden in a motorbike exploded on a busy street in Kunduz's Imam Sahib district, killing seven civilians. The bomb was detonated just as a vehicle belonging to a police official drove past. The official - Commander Mohammad Manan - was killed along with one of his bodyguards and five civilians, Abdul Qayum Ebrahimi, Imam Sahib's police chief, said. Ebrahimi said they believed the bombers had targeted Manan. This is me showing off the Medal of Honor's Multiplayer Mode: Team Assault. i give the Multiplayer a 9 out of 10 cause its more balanced and grounded then Modern Warfare 2s multiplayer. and has a lot less Shenanigans. so with less problems then Modern Warfare 2 and just as much fun if not a funner playing experience its at least worth picking up

Don't go by professional reviews people. They are total bullshit. Some of my favorite games have gotten low review scores (Shadowrun) and some shitty games have gotten good scores (Gears 2, Modern Warfare 2, the SDvsRaw franchise). MoH so far is a fun game in both the single player and multiplayer. No glaring problems as of yet, although I hear its easy to spawn camp sometimes in multiplayer. If you are a fan of Bad Company 2 and COD4, you'll most likely like the game, as it plays like a weird mix of both of those. I'd recommend you give it a rental or borrow it from a friend and play it for yourself before you buy it. But, so far, I'm enjoying the game.
Kandahar Marketplace is an interesting map, but it's not my favorite. Needless to say, I'm still enjoying MoH up to this point. Look for a 3rd video to be uploaded in a few hours, as I will talk about my impressions/review of the game. Links to check out: www.twitter.com www.youtube.com

Story Camp Nolan in Arghendab valley came under attack from Taliban insurgents on Saturday (September 11). US soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division returned fire from inside the camp using a range of weapons including rocket launchers. Camp Nolan has been in existence since early July and has been under fire almost on a daily basis. The camp is one of a series of field posts set up to help prevent Taliban insurgents infiltrating Kandahar city from the northwest. As NATO forces push into the Taliban stronghold of Kandahar province - and President Barack Obama's administration gets ready to review its strategy after assessing the results - Afghan President Hamid Karzai is forming a council to pursue talks with the Taliban.
While US Special Forces and ground troops continue to fight the Taliban in areas surrounding Afghanistan's Kandahar, the 504th Military Police Battalion has the task of providing security within the city.
