Kathy Ireland (born Kathleen Marie Ireland on March 20, 1963 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American supermodel, actress, author, and entrepreneur. She once had a line of clothing sold by Kmart. For a while, she hosted a segment on viewer mail and fitness tips on TV's BodyShaping[citation needed].
Ireland has a modest number of television and movie acting appearances to her credit, including roles in Side Out, Mr. Destiny, Loaded Weapon 1 and Necessary Roughness. Her first movie - 1988's Alien from L.A. - was mercilessly skewered (as were Ireland's acting abilities and idiosyncratic, slightly squeaky voice) when it appeared on the fifth season of Mystery Science Theater 3000. National Lampoon 's Loaded Weapon 1 (also known as Loaded Weapon 1) is a 1993 comedy film, directed by Gene Quintano and starring Emilio Estevez, Samuel L. Jackson and William Shatner.
The film mainly spoofed the plot of Lethal Weapon 2 but also referred to movies such as Basic Instinct and Die Hard. One scene parodied Clarice Starling's first meeting with Dr. Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs.

Necessary Roughness (1991) is a comedy starring Scott Bakula and Sinbad. The film was directed by Stan Dragoti who has also directed the movies Mr. Mom, She's Out of Control, and The Man With One Red Shoe. In addition to Bakula and Sinbad, Necessary Roughness has an additional cast of Hector Elizondo, Robert Loggia, Larry Miller, and Harley Jane Kozak.
