Titled Blue, the top production house has assembled an impressive line up of stars, which includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan. Anthony D'Souza has been entrusted the directorial reins of this project. AR Rahman will compose the music for the film. Kylie Minogue will sing two songs for the movie soundtrack. Reportedly, the film is budgeted at more than Rs. 100 crores. The movie is based on the theme of Shipwreck and treasure, thus most of the shooting took place under water. All the actors have been methodically trained in scuba diving in Bangkok. Lara Dutta, who plays an underwater diver, didn't know how to swim earlier. She says "When I was offered 'Blue', I was a little sceptical but then thought it is now or never. I swim like a fish today, and am an expert in diving". Blue which is supposed to be Indias first official underwater film is a thriller story involving crucial scenes by the lead actors Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar who plays a fisherman based in the Bahamas beneath seawater. Lara Dutta plays the character of a glamorous beach babe and is paired opposite to Sanjay Dutt in the movie. In this re-imagined narrative, Edward Cullen from the Twilight Series meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's an example of transformative storytelling serving as a pro-feminist visual critique of Edward's character and generally creepy behavior. Seen through Buffy's eyes, some of the more sexist gender roles and patriarchal Hollywood themes embedded in the Twilight saga are exposed - in hilarious ways. Ultimately this remix is about more than a decisive showdown between the slayer and the sparkly vampire.
