King Edward I 6024 steam train flying through Keynsham with lots of steam and amazing whistles! on her way to Paddington on "The Christmas Bristolian" from Bristol Temple Meads. Taken on 12/12/2009.
An all steam hauled charter was on the cards for the LNER A4 Class locomotive as she hauled The Cathedrals Express. The one of many A4's which took on this charter was 60019 'Bittern' She started out at London Victoria & carried on through to Bristol Temple Meads & return back to London. The charter on the outward was several minutes late arriving into Bath Spa & also on the return at Keynsham. However here is the video from the day. Enjoy. Location - Alexandra Park (Over looking Bath Spa) Date - 01/12/2009
damn wish i was in the cab :) alot warmer sorry for the shakiness i was completely frozen 60019 working hard steaming out keynsham heading towards bath.
This features 60019 Bittern on the Cathedrals Express service from London Victoria to Bath and Bristol. My first clip is taken near Bath. I think its called the Globe. This features Bittern around 20 minutes late on her way to Temple Meads. And then to my astonishment!, just as I was zooming out, a class 60 appeared! it was 125 minutes early!! and booked to be a class 66 so what a result! (ADJ-Westbury. 6C41) thanks liam ;) So I zoomed back in and captured it passing as well! I cant remember the last time I've seen a 60 in this area! Sorry its a bit shakey, was freezing, had my hands holding the camcorder for 20 mins just incase it suddenly appeared so lost concentration in the class 60 clip a little! The second clip is taken at Keynsham in the evening. I think she was around 5 minutes late but I'm not entirely sure. This features a few whistles! Thanks to someone's whistle board I believe! Well thats the second lot of whistles! And lots a smoke! So very pleased with my Bittern Captures so far this year! Enjoy!

Thanks to my bro Jake (itfcjake) and Louis (louisandbuses) This features plenty of noise and a tone! Well glad i stayed in Keynsham 20mins for it. Platform one was opened, which now was the length to fit an 8 car hst! So plenty of space. Sorry for the freezing which I've just noticed. Stupid laptop is having a laugh. I will upload it again properly tomorrow. Enjoy!

On saturday 6th June, Oliver Cromwell was out doing the Bath and Bristol Express for the second week in a row! She is seen here at two locations. One of which is Bath Spa at which she is seen arriving and departing and the other is Keynsham where she is seen flying through. The bath and Bristol express was done by the railway touring company and is from Poole and Bournemouth to Bath and Bristol via Eastleigh. The capture at Bath was a bit disappointing, well the departing part anyway because I never thought about whether she'd fit in the platform, which she didnt so that was a mess up. Its alright arriving though as I'm down the other side of the platform. At keysham it was good. Nice speed and a bit of smoke and a whistle as she passed me! Enjoy

I took a trip down to Keynsham on 10.04.2009 to see the West Highlander headed by a class 67. This tour went from Salisbury to Preston and then continued to Fort William with two 37s. This tour was promoted by Pathfinder tours. I then caught the train to Yatton to see the Scottish Chieftain headed by a class 47 and tailed by a 37 both in West Coast rail livery. This tour was going from Taunton - Carlise - Dumbarton Central. This tour was promoted by Past time rail. Both feature a tone as well. Enjoy!
This video was taken at Keynsham and Yatton whilst waiting for the West Highlander and Scottish Chieftain. It features hsts, voyagers, 150s, 158s and a track maintainence train (I think it is). It features some tones as well. Well enjoy
While i was waiting for 34067 i decided to film some hst's and this is what i got Enjoy!
As i was waiting for 34067 'Tangmere' WCRC 47760 and D1015 came thrashing through Keynsham! First up was WCRC 47760 on the 0Z20 Southall-Bristol Temple Meads going to collect the coaching stock from 34067, Driver giving a nice 2tone aswell which i just manage to catch! Next up was D1015 on the 0Z52 Southall-Barton Hill to get ready for the Charter from Bristol tomorrow. Driver giving a Great 2tone aswell! Enjoy!
On a dull afternoon in Keynsham on the 6th April i was out to catch 34067 'Tangmere' on 'THE GREAT BRITAIN II' London Victoria - Bristol (one way) Due to a Stopper in front of it we couldn't see her at her full potential sadly but never the less he we see 34067 trundle through Keynsham heading towards Bristol. Enjoy!
47760 & D1015 & 34067 (The Great Britain II) Thunders Through Keynsham - 6/4/09 SR bob Class 4-6-2 no 34067 Tangmere London victoria - Bristolrate and comment!
I found myself at Keynsham for the return leg of The Cathedrals Express hauled by 70013 to London Victoria. 70013 steams round the corner in the gleaming sun as she powers towards Keynsham running a bit late due too a stopper in front of her but still performing well as she heads towards Bath. Enjoy!
A 45 minute spell at keynsham whilst waiting for my train home! We sight the usual hst's, 158's and 150's Plus a surprise apperance of Advenza 47237 on the 6Z37 Eastleigh - Gloucester stone boxes. Enjoy!
Whilst waiting for the Bristolian to come through at Keynsham, i took some more videos of trains passing through. This is part 1 of it and it includes firstgreatwestern hsts and dmus, xc, hsts and voyagers and may be a goods train in this one or part 2
Class 47 passes Keynsham to Bristol and then from Bristol, luckily the 158 passed just before otherwise id have missed it. It was supposed to be GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 no 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe going Solihull - Bristol - Solihull, but this failed in the Oxford area i believe. So a 47 ended up rescuing the tour to Bristol. I was stood at Keynshakm for over 2 hours waiting for it! Got some other footage of xc voyagers and a xc hst as well as the usual fgw engines but they are in other videos. It was a shame Earl of Mount Edgcumbe never got to Keynsham but the 47 was alright to see. I'm looking forward to seeing the Great Britain II which is in the Bristol area on Monday 6th April (Tangmere, London Victoria - Bristol one way), Tuesday 7th April (BR Britannia Class 4-6-0 no 70013 Oliver Cromwell and GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 no 5029 Nunney Castle, Penzance to Bristol Temple Meads although it is diesel hauled in the morning from Bristol to Penzance) and Wednesday 8th (LMS Princess Class no 6201 Princess Elizabeth, Bristol to Shrewsbury to Preston). Theres also The Royal Duchy next Sunday where steam is taking it from Didcot to Par. Hope i can make all these!
