(c)1996 Kids' WB--Time Warner (c)1996 WVBT--LIN TV Promo for Superman (featuring an assortment of WB network stars). The Kids' WB block was conceived with the network in 1995 and would serve as the home for that show, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures reruns (alongside Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network), Pinky & the Brain, and even Looney Tune repeats (among others) for the remainder of the 1990s. Ultimately the brand outlived the network by a year, lasting until the 2007-08 season on the CW network. WVBT had been on the air only two years when it became a WB affiliate, which it held until 1998. In August of that year, WVBT swapped affiliation with then-Norfolk FOX affiliate WTVZ, where it remains (as a sister station to NBC affiliate WAVY) to this day.
