An Inspiring Pianist. Performance by Frank Merandi. "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" is a song from Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King, composed by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice. It was described by Don Hahn (the film's producer), Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff (the film's directors) as having "the most diverse history" in the film.[1] It was a chart hit in the UK, peaking at #14 on the UK Singles Chart, and achieved even more success in the US, reaching a peak of #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was a number-one hit in France. The song was performed in the film by Kristle Edwards, Joseph Williams, Sally Dworsky, Nathan Lane, and Ernie Sabella, while the end title version was performed by Elton John. It won the 1994 Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. It also earned Elton John the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. In 2003, a remixed version of the song was included in the Special Edition soundtrack of The Lion King, again sung by Elton John. In the midquel The Lion King 1½, the romantic scene where the song was originally featured also had the song playing, but with a difference: interspersed with the romantic scenes were short comedic shots of Timon and Pumbaa trying to disrupt Simba and Nala's night out. The song was once planned to be sung only by Timon and Pumbaa, but Elton John disliked the comical nature of the concept, as he had wanted to make a wholly romantic Disney song. It is ...

I performed for the second time this wonderful classic penned in 1961 by Freddie King. All the british blues lovers, remember the "Hideaway"version on "Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton" (Decca Rec.-1966) Freddie King also known as Freddy King and "The Texas Cannonball" (September 3, 1934 - December 28, 1976), was an influential Afro-American blues guitarist and singer. He perfected his own guitar style based on Texas and Chicago influences and was one of the first bluesmen to have a multi-racial backing band on stage with him at live performances. Freddie King had a twenty year recording career and became established as an influential guitarist for the mid 1960s UK blues revivalists such as Eric Clapton, Chicken Shack and Peter Green and had an intuitive style, often creating guitar parts similar to a second vocal line, using the open-string sound of Texas blues guitar and the raw, screaming tones of West Side Chicago blues. One aspect of Freddy's style that should be mentioned is his distinction from the two other "Kings", BB and Albert..Freddy's style was more aggressive and creative in improvisation, where Albert relied on a battery of licks, wound in different ways.. Freddy would "create" phrases on the spot, in the moment. This is an aspect of Freddy's playing that Eric Clapton mentions. Freddie King died from heart failure on December 28, 1976, aged forty two. For Bookings: www.asiatravel.com For More Video: book.asiatravel.com The Monarchy of Thailand (also referred to as the King of Thailand) (Thai: พระมหากษัตริย์ไทย) refers to the constitutional monarchy and monarch of the Kingdom of Thailand (formerly Siam). The King of Thailand is the head of state and head of the ruling Royal House of Chakri. As a constitutional monarch the power of the king is limited to a symbolic figurehead, however the institution elicits huge amount of respect and reverence from the Thai people.[1] The current monarch of Thailand is King Bhumibol Adulyadej, whose regnal name is Rama IX. The king has reigned since 9 June 1946, making him the worlds longest reigning monarch and the worlds longest serving head of state. Most of the kings powers are exercised by his elected government in accordance with the constitution of the day. The king still retains many powers such as: being head of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, the prerogative of royal assent and the power of pardon. He is also the defender of the Buddhist faith, which is the national religion of Thailand. Despite the end of the absolute monarchy in 1932, the king in accordance with every constitution, is "enthroned in a position of revered worship and shall not be violated." The constitution however confer the king and his royal family with no legal rights, except for the exemption from legal actions. As a result the monarchy are then protected by a criminal law in a legal concept known in the ...
From 1993 Album: "21 & Over" Alkaholiks Myspace: www.myspace.com Get Alkaholiks Music: www.amazon.com & itunes.apple.com Tha Alkaholiks, also known as Tha Liks, was an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. Since the early 1990s they have produced funky, upbeat, hedonism-themed party music with a hardcore hip hop edge, powered by the beats of DJ and producer E-Swift (born Eric Brooks in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) and the lively, comedic rhymes of J-Ro (born James Robinson in Los Angeles) and Tash (born Rico Smith in Cincinnati). Though commercial crossover success largely eluded the group, they maintained a dedicated following on their native West Coast, throughout the United States and worldwide. J-Ro had been rapping since the age of 13, and E-Swift and Tash (short for "Ca-TAS[H]-trophe) already had an established partnership (E-Swift the DJ, Tash the rapper) for local gigs and house parties; after E-Swift and Tash moved to Los Angeles, they met LA native J-Ro and formed a group. The three friends took the name Alkaholiks on the suggestion of West Coast veteran King Tee, who for some time had been looking for a back-up band to mentor. Tha Alkaholiks first achieved recognition after appearing on Tee's Tha Triflin Album, and most importantly its successful single "I Got It Bad Y'All". Support slots on tour with KRS-One, Ice Cube, and Too Short followed, which helped them develop their skills as well as a fanbase. Their debut album 21 & Over released in 1993 (see ...

Video related to the clever 50g downsizing of a chocolate bar, 250g which looks identical to 200g, very sneaky but not very clever. Update 1, it seems Cadbury's have realized that changing the classic taste was an epic fail, word is they will revet back to the old taste this is said to be months away, will the 50g come back? Update 2, (April 2010) looks like a bit of damage control going on, Cadbury's have changed the look of this block now, it is a much darker colour. The cocoa amount has been changed back to the classic taste, unfortunately the size still remains downsized to 200g We will need a really good TV commercial made to inform the loyal chocolate lovers that the classic taste is back, I dare say the damage done by this change will take years to repair, many consumers are now enjoying another brand. BIG lessons here for all in business, never stuff around with a classic product. Cadbury changed its famous recipe at the same time as it introduced new packaging and a reduction in the size of its chocolate blocks. Cadbury recently reduced the size of its moulded chocolate range. The 150g block has been re-sized to 100g/110g, the 250g block has been downsized to 200g/220g and the 400g block is now 350g. 250g had 26% cocoa solids, 200g has 21% cocoa solids. Very tricky repackaging ensures the consumer barely notices any change, while a new slick advertising campaign sets up a smoke screen to distract the consumer. Company websites declaring this change is for the ...

Look for Part I. Regardez pour la 1e partie. Miserere by Italian composer Gregorio Allegri (also called "Miserere mei, Deus" - English "Have mercy on me, O God") is a setting of Psalm 51 (50) composed during the reign of Pope Urban VIII, probably during the 1630s, for use in the Sistine Chapel during matins on Wednesday and Friday of Holy Week. It was the last of twelve falsobordone Miserere settings composed and chanted at the service since 1514 and the most popular: at some point, it became forbidden to transcribe the music and it was only allowed to be performed at those particular services, adding to the mystery surrounding it. Writing it down or performing it elsewhere was punishable by excommunication. The setting that escaped from the Vatican is actually a conflation of verses set by Gregorio Allegri around 1638 and Tommaso Bai (1650 - 1718, also spelled "Baj") in 1714. The Miserere is written for two choirs, one of five and one of four voices. One of the choirs sings a simple version of the original Miserere chant; the other, spatially separated, sings an ornamented "commentary" on this. Many have cited this work as an example of the stile antico or prima pratica. However, its constant use of the dominant seventh chord and its emphasis on polychoral techniques certainly put it out of the range of prima pratica. A more accurate comparison would be to the works of Giovanni Gabrieli. Mozart was summoned to Rome by the Pope, only instead of excommunicating the boy ...

"The Thrill is Gone" is a blues song written by Rick Darnell and Roy Hawkins in 1951 and popularized by BB King in 1970. The song was first recorded by Hawkins and became a minor hit for the musician. King recorded his version of the song in June 1969 for his album Completely Well, released the same year. The song's polished production and use of strings marked a departure from both the original song and King's previous material. When released as a single in December of 1969, the song became ...
