I've gathered some 40 hybrids in a vidéo, by combining 2 basic tricks each time
ave Lyons, un tranquillo quarantenne di New York, divenuto sordo, ottiene, fra qualche difficoltà, di gestire un'edicola nella città e accetta, per solidarietà, come socio nel lavoro l'irascibile e avventato Willy Karew, un coetaneo di colore, completamente cieco. Divenuti presto amici, capita ai due di trovarsi presenti a un omicidio compiuto proprio di fronte all'edicola: senonchè Dave non ode lo sparo, vede però le gambe di una donna che si sta allontanando; e Willy non vede la donna, ma ne avverte l'inconfondibile profumo Shalimar. Sulla traccia di questi due elementi, il sordo e il cieco si improvviseranno detective. Sopraggiunta la polizia, i due vengono arrestati come indiziati del delitto, trovandosi il cadavere proprio ai piedi della edicola. Dopo un interrogatorio, che, a motivo del loro handicap a stato faticoso e irto di difficoltà, i due riescono a dileguarsi come pure a sfuggire a un organizzazione criminale capeggiata dal malvagio Sutherland e della quale fanno parte il cinico Kirgo e la spietata Eve, che li tallonano senza posa, perchè testimoni del delitto all'edicola da essi commesso. Nonostante la loro menomazione, Dave e Willy hanno infatti individuato i responsabili dell'omicidio e sono decisi a smascherarli, superando le remore e la boriosa inettitudine delle forze di polizia. Il reciproco inseguimento-fuga fra Dave-Willy da una parte e la feroce accoppiata Kirgo-Eve dall'altra si conclude nella sede generale dell'organizzazione, dove è frattanto ...
