On International Peace Day Sept. 21, 2011, students at Sacred Heart Cathedral School participated in an international art and literacy project called "Pinwheels for Peace." They "planted" pinwheels with messages of peace in front of the school and cathedral. The word "peace" and similar messages were written on more than 600 pinwheels created by the students. After the pinwheels were placed, students and teachers, dressed in different color T-shirts, then posed for picture and formed a rainbow over the word "Peace."
Now a junior at Hardin Valley Academy, Aaron Blance showcases his tremendous speed and acceleration during his sophomore season at the Webb School of Knoxville. Note: Turn up the volume to get the full effect of Your Hand in Mine.

Josh Mosley, Class of 2009, dominated every game he played against the Roadrunners from his cornerback position. Picking off a roadrunner quarterback everytime he played, including JV as an underclassmen where he returned one for a touchdown.
Knox County School Board voted to approve a STEM Academy high school in Knoxville on Wednesday Nov. 3, 2010 school board meeting. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The $2 million dollar funding for the school is from a federal grant under a program pushing for more STEM education. The program is called Race to the Top and is Obama's legislation to push US students to higher achievement rates in science and math. The new school has been suggested to open as soon as Fall of 2011.
