November 08. I lost a total of 68 lbs. I started out slow just cutting certain foods out of my diet and then I added cardio and weight lifting after a month or so. I would say to people that you just have to find something that motivates you because after a month or so it will become habit and you will want to do it. If you don't you will feel lousy about not working out. I always found that music was my motivation when I put those headphones on I go into a whole different place and it makes me push harder. Here are some of the steps I took to losing the weight that I did. 1. Cutting out fast food if you eat fast food you can probably lose an easy 5 to 10 lbs just from cutting that out it is horrible for you. 2. Soda - This was hard for me I hate coffee and so I always drank soda. You might have some withdrawls but try to get water, tea, or in some cases diet soda but I still think soda even diet will slow your progress. 3. Sugars- They are hard to cut out as well but getting sugars from fruits is a lot better than getting them from junk food. 4. Bread- Well not everyone can make this commitment. Bread just goes so good with everything. I would try to pick up a very healthy wheat bread or maybe a high fiber tortilla. 5. Red Meat- Try to eat a lot more Chicken,Fish,Turkey, Shrimp, and Tuna these are lean and will help you build muscle. 6. Beer- I would drink very rarely when on the diet because 110 cal for your average beer adds up pretty quick. Here are some foods I ate ...
Crystal Light and The Nature Conservancy Collaborate to Raise Awareness of US Freshwater Conservation Crystal Light powdered beverages help women enjoy drinking water every day, which is why they are collaborating with The Nature Conservancy to protect Americas rivers and lakes, our sources of clean, fresh drinking water. Crystal Light will start by making a splash on World Water Day, Monday, March 22, when it will give to The Nature Conservancy 100 percent of net profits from Crystal Light powdered drink mix products sold that day no less than $350000 and up to $750000. The funds will help support five priority river and lake projects across the US to help protect our sources of clean, fresh drinking water including the Colorado River, Great Lakes Basin, Meramec River (part of the Mississippi River), Potomac River and Southern Rivers. And to celebrate World Water Day, Crystal Light is offering fans an unforgettable experience a one-night-only, World Water Day Celebration Concert with internationally acclaimed recording artist and nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow. One hundred percent of the ticket price will go to The Nature Conservancy to support the river and lake projects. But the commitment does not end there. In fact, during its year-long collaboration, Crystal Light will share updates on the five river and lake projects through www.Facebook.com/CrystalLight. www.consumerdeception.com The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit corporation run by lobbyist Richard Berman through his Washington, DC-based for-profit public relations company, Berman & Co. The Center for Consumer Freedom, formerly known as the Guest Choice Network, was set up by Berman with a $600000 donation from tobacco company Philip Morris. Berman arranges for large sums of corporate money to find its way into nonprofit societies of which he is the executive director. He then hires his own company as a consultant to these nonprofit groups. Of the millions of dollars donated by Philip Morris between the years 1995 and 1998, 49 percent to 79 percent went directly to Berman or Berman & Co. Richard Berman is an influence peddler. He has worked out a scheme to funnel charitable donations from wealthy corporations into his own pocket. In exchange, he provides a flurry of disinformation, flawed studies, op-ed pieces, letters to the editor, and trade-industry articles, as well as access to his high-level government contacts, who are servants of the industries he represents. Bermans name might sound familiar. In 1995, Berman and Norm Brinker, his former boss at Steak and Ale Restaurants, were identified as the special-interest lobbyists who donated the $25000 that disgraced then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who was hauled before the House Ethics Committee for influence-peddling over the money. Berman and Brinker were lobbying against raising the minimum wage. Richard ...
