The NFL injury hits keep on coming with the news that Green Bay running back Ryan Grant and Jets' defensive tackle Kris Jenkins will both miss the rest of the 2010 season. Grant tore a ligament that holds two bones in his ankle, and surgery is required. He was placed on injured reserve. Brandon Jackson filled in admirably for Grant after the injury and was named the starter against the Bills. The fourth-year pro out of Nebraska will now presumably fill Grant's shoes for the rest of the year.

On Twitter: @longisland495 The New York Jets players were a little too much "blinded by Sainz", supposedly. There are allegations out there that TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz was sexually harrassed by Jets players in their locker room. Ok, let me just start by saying that this Ines Sainz chick is pretty damn fine! Go to google images and look up "Ines Sainz" and you'll know what I'm talking about. There are people all over the US and Mexico who have her posted all over the walls of their rooms. Apparently, the Jets let their hormones do the talking before the brains did. Sainz did say among other things that she did feel uncomfortable in the Jets' locker room but that she has no plans to file any charges (at least not now). This is someone who has made a career out of the way she dresses. If you look at some of the attire she wears on the field, it's not exactly the most conservative of apparel. You're literally at many times seeing her whole body figure based on what she's wearing. However, that is NEVER an excuse for anybody to think that it's directed at them. If a sexual harassment case is brought against anybody it's not just something you shake off. It can dog you for a while. This isn't the first time that an incident has supposedly happened in the locker room and it won't be the last. When Erin Andrews was doing a Cubs/Brewers game in Milwaukee, Cubs manager Lou Piniella and a few other Cubs players were commenting on the "provocative" wear that she donned. NFL ...

www.mahalo.com The 2010 Monday Night Football schedule opened with a wet and rainy double header on September 13, 2010. Week one Monday Night Football kicked off with the Baltimore Ravens edging out the New York Jets 10 to nine and the Kansas City Chiefs upsetting the San Diego Chargers 21 to 14. After a short rain delay, the New York Jets christened their new stadium but fans were silenced early as the team failed to execute on offense. Ray Lewis and the Ravens limited young quarterback Mark Sanchez and the Jets to just six first downs in the game, tying a franchise low set in 1976. Jets' nose tackle Kris Jenkins left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury, the same knee that sidelined him for 10 games in 2009. Despite early turnovers by the Ravens, New York tallied just three field goals in the game. The Jets gave the Ravens 125 yards in penalties alone, something New York head coach Rex Ryan described as "a joke." In part two of the double header, a new-and-improved Kansas City Chiefs squad rallied to stun the San Diego Chargers. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers gave San Diego the early lead with a touchdown pass to Antonio Gates, but Kansas City soon took over and carried their momentum to the win. The Chiefs relied on strong play from their rushing unit, with Jamaal Charles tying the game at seven on a 56-yard touchdown run. Just a few possessions later, rookie receiver Dexter McCluster came up big on special teams when he set a franchise record with a 94 ...

www.sbrforum.com - SBR.tvs Peter Loshak previews Week 7 in the NFL aided by input from LT Profits and his sportsbook source on where the sharp action has come in. There are only 13 games on this weeks card, with one being played in London, and that game presents Loshaks favorite bet of the week, the Over 45 in Tampa Bay England. The Pats offense exploded last week against Tennessee, and theres little indication that the Bucs will present a better challenge at Wembley Stadium. Four out of Tampa Bays six games have gone over 45, with only a shutout at the hands of the Giants dominant D and another game against low-scoring Washington staying under that number. Loshak is happy to hear that both LT Profits and the sharp money agrees with him, and also expresses a more modest liking of the over 42 in Chicago/Cincinnati. The sharpest money on the week supposedly came in on Dallas, albeit at -3 -120, and not the -4 where they are currently. Off of a bye week, Dallas should be well-prepared to take on Atlanta, a team that has been very strong this year so far. LT Profits takes note of the RLM that has occurred with this line, with the line moving in Dallas favor despite a majority of the money coming in on the Cowboys. Oakland is a 6-point home dog to the Jets, who are reeling from their outright loss to Buffalo last week, as well as a season-ending injury to star NT Kris Jenkins. Theres been a ton of debate in betting circles and on SBR concerning the right side, if any, on this ...
ADORATION speaks to our connections—with each other, with our family history, with technology and with the modern world. Sabine (ARSINÉE KHANJIAN), a high school French teacher, gives her class a translation exercise based on a real news story about a terrorist who plants a bomb in the airline luggage of his pregnant girlfriend. The assignment has a profound effect on one student, Simon (DEVON BOSTICK), who lives with his uncle (SCOTT SPEEDMAN). In the course of translating, Simon re-imagines that the news item is his own family's story, with the terrorist standing in for his father. Years ago, Simon's father (NOAM JENKINS) crashed the family car, killing both himself and his wife (RACHEL BLANCHARD), making Simon an orphan. Simon has always feared that the accident was intentional. Simon reads his version to the class and then takes it to the Internet. In essence, he has created a false identity which allows him to probe his family secret. As Simon uses his new persona to journey deeper into his past, the public reaction is swift and strong. Then an exotic woman reveals her true identity. The truth about Simon's family emerges. The mystery is solved and a new family is formed. SCOTT SPEEDMAN as Tom Scott Speedman received rave reviews at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of Tom in Atom Egoyans film Adoration opposite Rachel Blanchard, which Sony Classics is releasing this spring. His next film is Tiller Russells The Last Rites of Ransom Pride where he plays ...
This was an exciting encounter at a chilly Sardis Road, with both sides having much to play for. Pontypridd were defending a 100% home record, while Newport needed a win to stay in contention for the Principality Premiership title. In the end it was the home side that came out on top, deservedly winning a close game by 28-26. It was good to see Ryan Savage back on the park after his long lay off due to injury, and in the second half Chris Clayton came on the add his considerable presence to the attack. In many ways the match became a battle between Newports No. 10 Sean Connor and Pontys full back Kristian Baller. The former scored 21 of his sides points, and Kris got 18 for Pontypridd and won the man-of-the-match award in the process. However, all thirty-nine players who took to the field on the night deserved high praise for their efforts and skill. Connor opened the scoring with a penalty after eight minutes, and then added a try and conversion just a few minutes later. Things were not looking good for the home side at this stage, but then centre Adam Thomas sliced through for a good try. Baller narrowly missed the difficult conversion, and that man Connor dropped a neat goal to take the score to 5-13 to Newport. Baller responded with a penalty, taking the score to 8-13 at the end of the first quarter. Baller and Connor then exchanged penalties as the game swept from end to end, with neither pack quite able to achieve dominance and both defences secure. Half time was ...
From GamblersTelevision.com Pro Football NY Jets at New England Patriots (-3.5) (8 ET) (NFL Network) This is a big game in the AFC East with both teams sitting at 6-3 on the season. New England took for the first matchup 19-10 back in week 2. But this is a much different Jets team from week 2 and one that has won 3 straight. The Patriots are facing a good Jets defense that can bring pressure on Cassell and stop the run. Nose tackle Kris Jenkins is plugging the middle for NY. And speaking about the run the Patriots running backs are banged up. On defense Adalius Thomas has an arm injury and looks to most likely will miss this game for New England. The Jets are working with Favre to limit his mistakes and his play and decision-making has improved the past two weeks. The Patriots secondary will have problems here against a strong-armed quarterback. Take NY Jets +3 ½. Selection: NY Jets +3.5
