Footage of our first Blood Queen kill from 25man. Yes I did get very lucky having being bitten first, but at the same time I beat everyone else on WMO who also got bit first, so take it for what it is. They increased the duration of the embrace to 60 seconds from 50, so I expect this parse to be beaten but it is currently #1 for at least the first week so I thought it was worth a show. This is a full, uncut video of the guild Riot Act of US-Anetheron defeating Blood Queen Lana'thel in Icecrown Citadel. This video includes Ventrilo! From Riot Act: This video is completely uncut and includes the full vent recording. The fight breaks down near the end since we slipped up on one of our macros and one of the bitten targets didn't know who he was supposed to bite. He gets mind controlled and goes on to kill our primary tank healer as well as a good chunk of our DPS. We killed her right on the enrage because of this, so our strategy is very repeatable when factoring out the mistake. Please enjoy the video! Footage is from our first 10man Blood Queen Lana'thel kill. It is sped up to around 120% for a more appropriate length. We did kill the 25 man version as well on the first day but the fight is exactly the same. In the video I go over strategy for the boss, which works on both 10 and 25 man. In response to this strategy, blizzard increased the duration of the embrace so that it lines up a little better with the enrage timer. Killing off a raid member may not be beneficial and you should just try the encounter without the gimmik. The fight is greatly nerfed with the new hotfix.
