This is a video we made for our US history class. We had to make a movie about the Civil War and have a commercial break in between. So we did an Axe commercial. On January 27, 2010, the students of Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas, came together to film the first ever lip dub in Lawrence history. Before it was hacked--which is bad and which we neither support nor condone--the video had received over 130000 views and had received national attention because of its depiction of a high school community we all hope is still possible. In effort to share the joy and enthusaism and creativity again (or for the first time), we once again present our video for you to enjoy.

This is a 'Michael Jackson original' which students from IV Narra adopted and made into an originally made music video. The theme of the music video revolves on young students who became united in the latter part of the story and making themselves part of a history through their own small ways. The twist of the story happened when the main character realized that everything was just a dream. At the last part, the twist served as an open ended scenario for the main character and viewers to decide whether he/they would pursue their quest of making themselves part of the history.

I took this as a tribute to Lorain High School, Lorain Ohio. LHS was built in 1916, and closed in 1995, and it is being torn down. The music is "Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears" by Ronan Tynan, since Lorain is home to 56 nationalites. Until 1961 LHS was the melting pot of Lorain since it was the only High School.

Jan. 24th, 2008/ DAY 1 of the NH REPUBLICAN RECOUNT winds down with a fantastic interview with NH citizen GARY GILMORE (not the murderer, but a recount enthusiast) who takes the time to show me the ARCHIVED RECORDS of the NUMEROUS NH RECOUNTS and how many of them OVERTURNED the original election night results... (ED NOTE: Special thanks to Gary Gilmore and Roland and ALL of the amazing NH citizens I had the opportunity to meet during my two days filming there. I was blown away by their smarts and generocity. They even have me thinking of RETIRING IN REVERSE...heading up there FROM FLORIDA when I grow old.)
