On Telemundo: www.telemundo52.com PACOIMA - July 17, 2010 - Agitated LAPD police officers (Foothill Division - the very same division involved in the beating of Rodney King) arrive at the residence due to a noise complaint. The daughter, brother, mother, and a cousin were already there to speak with the police. The owner follows. The officers ask for the music to remain off. If the music (acoustic) were to remain on they would fine the owner $1500. At this time the helicopter arrives over the backyard of the residence. Angered by the owner's question about the fine, the officer then yells at the owner to have everyone out in 30 seconds or he'll call in "the team". The owner and women ask as to why everyone has to be out all of sudden (warnings are usually given). The officers swearing, yell out that they have 20 seconds for everyone to leave the house. The women ask for more time as there were elderly people present and a portion of the family members were remaining for the night. The officers agree to let the owners allow family members inside the house with the condition everyone else exits. As the owners walk back in to gather everyone to advise of the situation the police start following. When they approached the side fence, the owner's daughter asked them to wait as they were promised time. "F$@! that! I'm tired of your sh#@$!". The officer using his baton pins her up against the wall. The owner/father questions the actions. The swearing of the officer progresses ...

Taco trucks pull up to curbs and offer LA eaters everything from tofu bowls to Korean barbeque. Customers flock to them, and recently so have police officers. Truck owners report being cited for everything from parking too close to curbs to parking too far away. Sometimes officers shut them down. Why would law enforcement target taco trucks for nuisance violations? Turns out nearby restaurants don't like the competition. "Taco Truck Takedown" is produced by Ted Balaker. The director of photography is Alex Manning, the field producer is Paul Detrick and the production associate is Tannen Wels. Music by Magnatune. Approximately two-and-a-half minutes. Los Angeles, CA (HC News) Back in 1995 I was working an LAPD patrol beat. Another officer involved shooting occurred in the Lincoln Heights section of Hollenbeck Division. This is the story where the main-stream media claimed that a problem officer just gunned down and killed a cute little 14 year old by named Jose Antonio Gutierrez. However the truth is, that officer Michael Falvo only shot gangster Jose Gutierrez after Gutierrez pointed a Tec-9 machine gun at officer Falvo. The Monday morning quarter-backs and the media then put more fuel onto the fire. Henceforth causing what became known as the LAPD Hollenbeck Riots. In the first two days of the riots I was deployed into my trained position as a mobile field force squad leader. We always deployed a good block away from the main target(s) with the Airship above. LAPD is so large that when you responded to tactical alerts like this, supervisors may not even know you. They often have to rely on your skill levels based on hash-marks or more specifically, ribbons or metals on your uniform. In the below video you will hear a Lieutenant tell me and my partner Grab a piece of curb and stand here until we get eight more guys. Then were gonna do business. Once my squad was gloved and helmeted, we did our job. I loved those 40mm less lethal munitions. Later in the last couple days I drove an unmarked dual-purpose car, and became a rear guard roving and watching the officers backs; as they moved forward for the final threat ...

www.streetgangs.com In 2006, Judge David Yaffe approved the DA's request to enjoin the Jungles, a neighborhood in South LA where a gang called Black P Stones are located. The injunction gives broad powers to the LAPD that allows them to search, frisk, detain, photograph, arrest, and question any person that they "suspect" to be a gang member. Officer Brian Thayer, known in the Jungles as Jackie Chan, is a gang cop that works the Baldwin Village area. The goal of the injunction was to "shut down the gang" but several years later the gang is still there and they are still warring with the 18th Street gang. Even after the FBI came in under "Operation Stone Cold" the community is still plagued with ongoing social challenges that limits the opportunities for young people growing up here. The injunction, for many allows the police to legally harass people youth and young adults. Being under this court oder allows the police to treat an individual as if they were on parole without having committed a crime.
