READ: I finally have daylight footage of the damage that was caused by the tornado in Leamington. I am still reeling in shock. Sea Cliff Park was hit, very badly. And my house isn't even two minutes - driving time - from there. My house wasn't hit at all...And it just amazes me that so much damage happened just down the street from me. I filmed all of this. WARNINGS: 1. Some audio is cut out - purposely - at the end. 2. Clips are cut and conversations may cut out.

GlobalTV news segment on the confirmed F1 tornado in Leamington, Ontario (June 6, 2010)
Damage left by the tornado that hit Leamington's Lake Erie shore area around 3:00am Sunday June 6th 2010.
An F1 tornado touched down in Leamington around 3am Sunday morning between Albuna Townline and Fraser Road. It ran a course of approximately half a kilometre. Despite its relatively short course, additional downbursts from the storm system are supposedly responsible for causing heavy property damage further westward near Kingsville, according to Environment Canada. The tornado is estimated to have been about 50 feet wide. Nearly every large tree along Seacliff Drive from Erie Street in Leamington to Union Avenue in Kingsville was either damaged or completely uprooted. No injuries were reported despite all the destruction. Hydro One deployed its entire fleet to the area to repair and replace all of the many downed hydro lines. Several Union Gas vehicles were also scattered throughout the area to deal with severed gas lines. There was a strong smell of natural gas around a few of the damaged homes. Additional fire fighters from other municipalities in Essex County also responded to help out the Town of Leamington, which is still currently in a state of emergency. The storm system also caused considerable damage in the Colchester region of Essex, just west of Kingsville. Fields in the area were flooded heavily and several trees and hydro poles were also reported to have been knocked down. The same tornado is suspected to have touched down again on the other side of Lake Erie in Monroe, Michigan. There it is believed to have been much stronger. It tore through the Fermi ...

A heavy thunderstorm moving through the West Island of Montreal in association with a cold front. The storm was part of a line of thunderstorms coming in quickly (roughly 40 km/h) from the WNW. Areas in and around Vaudreuil (just next door to the SW of the West Island) had the largest impact with persistent heavy rains, high winds (gusts possibly in upwards of 90 km/h) and small hail. *Just recently, an EF1 tornado was confirmed near the Ontario-Quebec border by Environment Canada's team surveying the damage. The storm that spawned the tornado was in association with the same line of severe thunderstorms that affected Eastern Ontario and Southern Quebec. With the tornado confirmed in Leamington, Ontario (also an EF1), that bring's Canada's tornado number to two so far this year. This video briefly depicts the heavy rain associated with the thunderstorm that moved through. Footage taken in Southwestern Pierrefonds. ~Trav.~
