Mark Stewart plays an original song he wrote for a social studies project. Subscribe! I've got more videos coming! LYRICS: The explorers Lewis and Clark, Never did complain, They explored Louisiana, To see what it would contain. They wanted to see what it was like, Past the oceans of wheat, To see what they had bought, They should have checked the receipt. Its that little white sheet Check the Receipt. When I started my social studies project, I didnt have a clue . . .of what to do, But then I had an idea. I could write a song, what could go wrong, So I wrote a song . . . about Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea. Sacagawea was their interpreter, She truly was the best, If there only was a way, She couldve helped me on my Spanish test, Cuz I just guessed, and my teacher, was not impressed. When I started my social studies project, I didnt have a clue . . . of what to do, But then I had an idea. Not sure all my facts are true, but what can I do . . . 'cuz I got em off of Wikipedia. Lewis and Clark, crossed the nation, Northwest Passage was the destination, They started their journey in 1804, To a magical land they set out to explore. The goal was unperceivable, yet somehow achievable, The tale of their quest was truly unbelievable. Then came the day, when they were well on their way, They discovered something with great dismay. The Northwest Passage is nothing but a lie, This is a statement we can justify, It doesnt exist; well no longer persist, Its been two years and now were ...
Here's cover of beautifully haunting "Lewis and Clark" originally written by Tommy Emmanuel for his Mystery album. I hope I did it justice. I used tabs from official Mystery book.
CWMcCall - Lewis And Clark From 1975 album "BLACK BEAR ROAD"
America's Manifest Destiny started with our acquisition of the Louisiana Purchase which basically doubled the size of the United States with a single stroke of a pen. This was the beginning of our expansionism that in the end left us controlling the best land in North America, which when combined with our cunning and ingenuity, lead us to become the greatest country on earth. This old movie starring Charlton Heston and that other guy really tells it like it was. It even shows everyone saying the Lords Prayer over their fallen comrade, which shows us that yes, this country was founded as a Christian nation, and that those Christian values have made us the great country that we are today. I didn't notice any Muslims or Hindus in this movie, not that there's anything wrong with being one of them, it's just that this country was not created under the influence of those religions. Now back to America and our cunning and ingenuity. This, the greatest country ever, was built by hard working self-reliant Americans who fended for themselves and did not rely on their government for handouts. They built this country up to its greatness of today by working hard and inventing new ways to do things in a more productive way. Hard working American were, are, the backbone of this country, and without them we would be no better than the rest of the mediocre countries in the world. Now some will say that we stole this land from the American Indians, and to a certain extent that is right ...
Way back in the day I'm talkin 1803, my boy Thomas Jefferson expanded the country For 15 million he took a chance on an unknown land that we bought from France To explore this uncharted land, he hired two fellas with maps in their hands William Clark and Meriwether Lewis assembled a crew and said let's do this their mission, direct from TJ to find a NW route waterway now the "corps" was ready, they all were brave they rolled fifty deep including York a slave So on May 14, 1804 they left St. Louis and began to explore up the Missouri, could barely rest, can't stop won't stop 'til we reach the west Sacaga-who? Man Sacagawea she was only 16(approximately) but they desperately need her Shoshones were her homies, so 'Gawea could ask them for ponies without her help they couldn't cross the peaks of the Rocky Mountains yea they're pretty steep this teenage mom was the final piece cuz a woman showed they weren't looking for beef Two years later, in 1806, the "corps" arrived safely in St. Louis although they didn't find a waterway, Americans celebrated anyway their notes and samples that they brought to share included Prairie Dogs and the Grizzly Bear so let's take time to honor these men and the (American)Indian girl who became their friend
You're probably familiar with Lewis and Clark's 1803 Corps of Discovery expedition to the West, but how about their 1801 adventure? Join us in this journey through time as we experience a part of lesser-known American history.

The Untamed West is the reissue title of the Pine-Thomas production The Far Horizons. This romanticized retelling of the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1803-06 stars Fred MacMurray as Meriwether Lewis and Charlton Heston as Bill Clark. The film doesn't delve much into the real-life animosity between the two, though it's clear that there's little love lost between the cerebral Lewis and the two-fisted Clark. Aiding the men in their expedition is Indian maiden Sacajawea, played with fist-in-the-air defiance by Donna Reed. Since interracial romances were still largely taboo in American films of the early 1950s, Sacajawea can only pine and sigh as Lewis and Clark square off over the affections of white-woman Julia Hancock (Barbara Hale). This Technicolor-and-Vistavision film works best as an outdoor adventure; its dramatic scenes tend to bog down in an excess of verbiage. The Far Horizons was based on Sacajawea of the Shoshones, a novel by Della Gould Edmonds. Fred MacMurray - Meriwether Lewis Charlton Heston - Bill Clark Donna Reed - Sacajawea Barbara Hale - Julia Hancock William Demarest - Sgt. Cass Alan Reed, Sr. - Charboneau Eduardo Noriega - Cameahwait Larry Pennell - Wild Eagle Ralph Moody - Le Borgne Herbert Heyes - President Jefferson Fran Bennett - Bit part Argentina Brunetti - Old Crone Joe Canutt - Bit part Frank Fowler - Bit part Bob Herron Leroy Johnson - Bit part Margarita Martin Lester Matthews - Mr. Hancock Tom Monroe Julia Montoya - Crow Woman Voltaire Perkins William Phipps Walter Reed - Cruzatte Vernon Rich - Bit part Bill Walker Helen Wallace - Mrs. Hancock Al Wyatt - Bit part

A project i have done with my US history class about the Lewis and Clark expediion.
This place in Poptropica is very small. In the Poptropica version of Lewis and Clark is when Lewis lost the medal for the Nez Perce. Let me tell you a little history. HISTORY: Lewis and Clark were on an expedition to the Nez Perces. They collected people on the way to help them travel to the Nez Perces. One of the people is Sacagewea, she directed them towards the Nez Perces. Every step they take with her means they are getting closer to them. The second person is Clark's servant. That servant was a boy. He always makes sure Clark is doing fine. I forgot the last one but you will figure it out. Lewis and Clark had the medal so they can reward the Nez Perce for their best working community or something else. Lewis and Clark took many rests at comfy, safe woods or forests. CLUE: A Chinese pot is hidden somewhere. Looks like you are not "up a tree" now.

It was the dawn of a nation a time before the American West became known as the frontier, and little was known about what lay within. Two captains, courageous in spirit and unyielding in their dedication to their mission, led 31 people, including one woman and her infant son, to the Pacific Ocean and back. National Geographic presents the danger and beauty of the unknown West as it unfolded before the eyes of Lewis and Clark. Narrated by Jeff Bridges. Lewis & Clark by Tommy Emmanuel from his Album "The Mystery" 2006
Morning people, Mp3 Download: rapidshare.com a week ago a friend showed me a DVD of Tommy Emmanuel and it wasn't really my type of music. Country ! But this song I liked very much, so I got some tabs and watched the dvd as long as it was OK for me to play. I am not playing the song his way. Cause country is not my style. He plays it way faster, more accurate and way more notes than me. I am playing it the easy way. I even forgot to change a chord one time. He is using a capo too. What you hear is a live recording, but not with the cam mic. I used a mic and the pick up in the guitar, which is actually a mic and pickup. This is the guitar of the same friend as above. Thanks for that !!! I put on new strings though. To be honest I played two wrong notes, but I edit them away in Cubase, cause they were both repeated parts. Since YouTube changed my last two videos from stereo back to mono, I don't even try uploading it that way. And they compress the audio way too much, sounds horrible. So this is mono but hopefully better video quality. Gear: Guitar: Furch (don't know what model) recorded with a Neumann KM 184 and the built in pickup. Tuning: Normal E Strings: D'addario 12-53 Recording Device: Mackie d8b with optical cards in RME 9652 Card in PC. Recording Software: Steinberg Cubase 4 Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro See Ya. Da Schehf !!!
