The Pew Hispanic Center, which is widely considered to be the most authoritative source of numbers on this subject, they have release a new report saying that in the past decade, the number of illegal immigrants crossing into the United States has dropped by two-thirds. So, the sudden uptick in yelling about illegal immigration, blaming immigrants for everything from Obama being elected to swine flu to kidnapping the Lindbergh baby, that is not happening because illegal immigration is getting worse. It is actually getting better. The uptick in anti-immigration stuff is not really about immigration at all. It is about what makes good politics for anti-immigration politicians. Adelaide Hall filmed live in concert at the Riverside Studios in 1989 at the age of 87. "I Can't Give You Anything but Love" is generally considered to have been written by Jimmy McHugh (music) and Dorothy Fields (lyrics), although some claims have been made that in fact the music was by Fats Waller and the lyrics by Andy Razaf. According to the Jazz Standards website, the song was originally written as "I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Lindy" in honor of Charles Lindbergh for the Broadway revue Harry Delmar's Revels (1927) but was dropped from that show. The song was originally introduced by Adelaide Hall at Les Ambassadeurs Club in New York in January 1928 in Lew Leslie's Blackbird Revue. The revue later changed its name to Blackbirds of 1928 and enjoyed a long successful run on Broadway. In Blackbirds of 1928 the song was performed by Adelaide Hall, Aida Ward and Willard McLean. To commemorate the centenary of her birth on October 20 2001, Stephen Bourne's Sophisticated Lady is the first biography of the acclaimed star. With a Foreword by Lena Horne and Barbara Windsor, it charts her illustrious career from the 1920s to the 1990s. I chose to fly an airbus 319 with Shenzhen Airlines(OC and NC, City of Chengdu 深圳航空成都号, maybe panda specialists from Chengdu come to San Diego Zoo to help deliver baby pandas?LOL) because my computer's only installed with airbus software currently.OK, let's come to the point. This is a local flight of KSAN with runway 27. On the ground, I input essential information into the MCDU, ie ZFW, departing and landing airport, cruise altitude, fuel reserve, cost index, then calculated v1, vr, v2 Then taxi to 27 with flaps extended to 1+F, autobrake MAX, all signs on and ground spoilers armed. After that, I push throttle forward slowly, N1 50%, then to flex level. V1, rotate, V2...positive, gear up~~At about 1500 comes the procedure turn, shortly after that comes the downwind leg(This is done by selecting heading on the autopilot panel). Then I disengaged autopilot on left base at about 2800ft, no localizer, no glide slope, just visually made that turn and approach. The desired approaching airspeed is 133knts but I chose 142knts to get a better control of the airplane and thus lower risk of getting stalled, I dont want a-floor get activated which may cause great trouble. Then land with 27..Enjoy the fly by view, haha.
