From the 2008-2009 Diary of American Artist David Hart The Little Ice Age (LIA) was a period of cooling that occurred after a warmer era known as the Medieval Warm Period. While not a true ice age, the term was introduced into scientific literature by François E. Matthes in 1939.[1] It is conventionally defined as a period extending from the 16th to the 19th centuries[2][3][4] though climatologists and historians working with local records no longer expect to agree on either the start or end dates of this period, which varied according to local conditions. It is generally agreed that there were three minima, beginning about 1650, about 1770, and 1850, each separated by intervals of slight warming.[5] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) describes areas affected by the LIA: Evidence from mountain glaciers does suggest increased glaciation in a number of widely spread regions outside Europe prior to the 20th century, including Alaska, New Zealand and Patagonia. However, the timing of maximum glacial advances in these regions differs considerably, suggesting that they may represent largely independent regional climate changes, not a globally-synchronous increased glaciation. Thus current evidence does not support globally synchronous periods of anomalous cold or warmth over this time frame, and the conventional terms of "Little Ice Age" and "Medieval Warm Period" appear to have limited utility in describing trends in hemispheric or global mean temperature ...
A dramatization of a Little Ice Age returning as the Sun's activity drops to record lows and severe winter weather stikes the United States. A compilation of winter video footage is used to demonstrate near Artic conditions invading the Southern states. The charts in the video are real and the Sun's magnetic activity has dropped to a level not seen since 1840. If this continues........ we may indeed find ourselves in another Little Ice Age. NONE OF THIS IS MINE!! SONGS BELONG TO SHINEDOWN AND AC/DC!! ICE AGE BELONGS TO FOX! Some info on Ice Age 4 has leaked out, this info is not mine, i put a link to both the websites I got them from. Link to the first two chapters of my plot (return of the Hum4ns)- www.fanfiction.net DreamWorks and Marvel unveiled their plans for future film projects through the end of 2012, and while it's generally understood that studios have to work for years making movies, it's a little surprising to see artwork for these movies already. There have been claims that Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and Scrat will be included in Th4w. Beings there has been no official confirmation as to the production of this film, who knows what characters we will see. We can make a safe guess as to who will show, and we can try to guess any tagalongs they might throw in, but first the safe guesses. Since Ice Age hit the big screen there have been four characters to show face in every film. Scrat, the beloved saber toothed squirrel has more than a good shot at making it. Watch the end of the first Ice Age and you will see him frozen in an ice block 20000 years later. Manny, this wolly mammoth has played an important role in all three previous films, chances are he will see stardom in Ice Age Th4w, how could they resist bringing a wolly mammoth back to life in modern day? Sid, the accident prone sloth. If Sid wasn't in Ice Age Th4w, there wouldn't be much laughter. Sid keeps things interesting, he causes the ...
1988 Global cooling was a conjecture during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere along with a posited commencement of glaciation. congressandlaw.blogspot.com This hypothesis had little support in the scientific community, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of press reports that did not accurately reflect the scientific understanding of ice age cycles, and a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s. Mainstream scientific opinion is that the Earth has not durably cooled, but undergone global warming throughout the 20th century. In the 1970s there was increasing awareness that estimates of global temperatures showed cooling since 1945. Of those scientific papers considering climate trends over the 21st century, only 10% inclined towards future cooling, while most papers predicted future warming. The general public had little awareness of carbon dioxide's effects on climate, but Science News in May 1959 forecast a 25% increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide in the 150 years from 1850 to 2000, with a consequent warming trend. (The actual increase in this period was 29%.) Paul R. Ehrlich mentioned climate change from greenhouse gases in 1968. By the time the idea of global cooling reached the public press in the mid-1970s temperatures had stopped falling, and there was concern in the climatological community about carbon dioxide's warming effects. In response to such reports, the World ...

Blunty3000 went on a little adventure to Bondi Beach in Sydney, and what he found there was Snow, and ice, and squealing happy children! Global Warming and climate change my ass! ;) Yeah okay, so maybe this has nothing to do with global warming directly, but it was kinda a theme in ICE AGE 3: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS, which is what all this silliness was about as the publicity folks at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment shipped snow, ice, ice-sculptures and a big icy slide for beach side tobogganing to celebrate the launch of Ice Age 3 to DVD and Blu-ray on December 2nd.

Love in the Ice Age-Lyrics: It's a cold world that we live in all the people say That this world is gettin' colder day by day Too little warmth left in our lives I don't know if what the people say is true But I noticed there's a change in you Too little warmth left in your eyes I am freezing, no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa I am freezing, there's no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa There is friction without fire when the passion's spent As we shiver in the winter of our discontent So little love, left in our lives Now we're standing in the shadows of a fading sun Words like weapons, the cold war touches everyone So little love left in our eyes I am freezing, no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa I am freezing, there's no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Feeling the chill that comes with the pain Love in the ice age I am freezing, no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa I am freezing, there's no love in this ice age Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Written By: Charlie Giordano, Myron Grombacher & Neil Giraldo Pat Benatar-Vocals Neil Giraldo-Guitar Donnie Nossov-Bass Charlie Giordano-Keyboard Myron Grombacher-Drums

Actually I am not sure if it was the best idea cause you wanted an amv I guess. *hides* But I had to take a break from it a little. This was actually request from my lil 5-years old sister. She told me my 3 last amv's were total crap and that I can't do anything different. So I asked her what is the "different" for her. She then wanted me to make video with this song and her most favourite movie haha. I had to go to cinema with her 2-times to see it. She is obsessed. I hope I didn't fail this time for her. xD And I hope you guys can like it even it's not you fav thing this time. Ice Age 3 is awesome! I really enjoyed making this video. I made it in 4 hours so yeah. XD I was lazy though...I didn't mask. Also there are two parts in czech. I hope you don't mind. The solution to global warming in a handy aerosol spray - Global Cooling!
Another speedway. This is a little harder than Stone Age Speedway, but still not hard.
Another so called global warming report came out this week just ahead of the G-20 summit and it as all others before it is based on outdated data from 2003-2007 . With not a word on the historic solar minimum or the conditions that have changed since 2007 .Antarctic sea ice had a record growth in 2008 and is well above normal levels going into spring 2009 . There is over 15.737 miles sq. km of sea ice , .674 above the average 15.063 as of September 21 , 2009 .. Because of abundant snowfall we are actually getting to see glaciation take hold . We have seen for the first time in years the ice shelves begin to grow once more. In this video you can even see some of the more brittle new areas give way. But there is in fact a net increase in many of the ice sheets . Only the Western shelf has seen any decline and the growth on the other shelves more than makes up for the loss on the western side of the continent. . Simply put our leaders are either ill informed , Ignorant or have an agenda .There will not come a rise in water from the melting of this ice but the sea level will rise because of this growing ice . Mr. Moon , Mr. President Global Warming is over . Because of the rapidly changing state of the Sun the Earth is entering a period of global cooling . Think about all this for just one minute. The Sun is in a state of historical quiet . 1. Cyclone intnesity is at 30 year lows . Ove the last 2 years this number has basically collapsed 2. 2008 was the coolest year since ...
OK-so the next film on the agenda was Ice Age 3. I really didn't want to see it but the little ones did. Well two of them did anyway so we went to see it. My reaction? Well you'll have to watch the video but overall let's just say that I was not largely impressed by the second sequel in this CGI franchise despite the fact that the general public seemed to be hugely enamored with the movie. And NO, they haven't seen my Resident Evil videos! Oh well-ENJOY!

This animation starts back in September of 2002 when data started to suggest major warming was taking place in the ocean , At the exact same time as the oceans were warming the troposhere began cooling . This covers the massive decline in Sea Ice over the years 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 and the early parts of 2008 . In late 2008 the bottom really fell out and the oceans all began to respond as the troposphere had several years prior . The Ice began to rebound only in the Artic at first but also started to do so in Antarctica . Ending the warm cycle that so many taunted as man-made Global Warming and proving that the Climate is in fact controlled by the Sun . Just in 2 years we have seen the Artic Ice rebound to nearly levels last seen in the 1970's . The Antarctic ice is now following the same trend and is quickly reestablishing itself as we move deeper and deeper into a Century Class Solar Minimum that now looks to closely match that of the Dalton Minimum . Data form the Great Conveyor of the Sun seems to indicate that this diminshed Activity could presist for 40 years or longer . If it does then we could be heading for a Multi Century Class Solar Minimum such as the Maunder Minimum . If this is the case we will likley move into a period similar to that of the Last Ice Age .The simple fact is this , Al Gore the UN and the Current Administration of the United States all fail to look at the most current data over the last 2 years , They also fail to look at ...

Article: www.dailytech.com A "little ice age" in our future? Previous DailyTech stories have detailed recent cooling experienced by the planet, and highlighted some of the scientists currently predicting extended global cooling. Even the UN IPCC has stated that world temperatures may continue to decline, if only briefly. Now, an expert in geophysics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico has added his voice to the fray. Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at UNAM's Institute of Geophysics, has predicted an imminent period of cooling intense enough to be called a small ice age. Speaking to a crowd at a conference at the Center for Applied Sciences and Technological Development, Herrera says the sun can both cool and warm the planet. Variations in solar activity, he says, are causing changes in the Earth's climate. "So that in two years or so, there will be a small ice age that lasts from 60 to 80 years", he said. "The most immediate result will be drought." Herrera says satellite temperature data indicates this cooling may have already begun. Recent increases in glacier mass in the Andes, Patagonia, and Canada were given as further evidence of an upcoming cold spell. Herrera also described the predictions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as "erroneous". According to Herrera, their forecasts are incorrect because are only based on mathematical models which do not include [factors such as] solar activity". Herrera pointed to the so ...
Article: www.dailytech.com Global Cooling comes back in a big way Dr. Kenneth Tapping is worried about the sun. Solar activity comes in regular cycles, but the latest one is refusing to start. Sunspots have all but vanished, and activity is suspiciously quiet. The last time this happened was 400 years ago -- and it signaled a solar event known as a "Maunder Minimum," along with the start of what we now call the "Little Ice Age." Tapping, a solar researcher and project director for Canada's National Research Council, says it may be happening again. Overseeing a giant radio telescope he calls a "stethoscope for the sun," Tapping says, if the pattern doesn't change quickly, the earth is in for some very chilly weather. During the Little Ice Age, global temperatures dropped sharply. New York Harbor froze hard enough to allow people to walk from Manhattan to Staten Island, and in Britain, people reported sighting eskimos paddling canoes off the coast. Glaciers in Norway grew up to 100 meters a year, destroying farms and villages. But will it happen again? In 2005, Russian astronomer Khabibullo Abdusamatov predicted the sun would soon peak, triggering a rapid decline in world temperatures. Only last month, the view was echoed by Dr. Oleg Sorokhtin, a fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. who advised the world to "stock up on fur coats." Sorokhtin, who calls man's contribution to climate change "a drop in the bucket," predicts the solar minimum to occur by the year ...
Why has the weather changed so dramatically over the past few months? why is it snowing in morocco and Baghdad? which has never been witnessed in any lifetime. Is it global warming or is it just a natural cycle from the relation of the sun and planet earth. www.iceagenow.com

If you remember the last time I showed a video of this pirate game, I didn't really know what to do as I couldn't jump any higher. With codeman38's help, I decided to show a new video showing more things in this game. Codeman mentioned about a double-jump that is the concept used in the Klonoa games and to do it, you press the A button twice while holding an enemy (as a blue block with a face again). As I got much further, I don't recall frogs, bats or a man with a gun in the movie and that Sid does a little dance when he gets to the exit of each level.

Al Gore has once again been debunked. In stark contrast to his lies and make believe facts about global warming, the observable natural phenomenon, such as sun spot activity, indicate that the earth's climate is headed in the opposite direction--worldwide rapid cooling. article: www.dailytech.com another article: www.scribd.com thesenatorhillary.blogspot.com
This video sets aside doomsday alarmism and political axe-grinding to look at the science behind the history of climate change on earth. An examination of early Viking colonies on Greenland, wiped out by a period of global cooling, enables scientists to draw important conclusions about our current phase in the climate cycle. What we learn in this program is that earth's climate is always changing - from The Middle Ages and the "Little Ice Age" to the modern warming that has been going on since 1850 (well before human-generated CO2 began increasing in our atmosphere). Dr. Willie Soon, an Astrophysicist from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and Dr. David Legates, a Climatologist from the Center from Climate Research at the University of Delaware provide an easy-to-follow review of current climate science, which suggests that the sun's irregular patterns and other natural forces are the major sources of climate change. 100,000-Year Climate Pattern Linked To Sun's Magnetic Cycles (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2002/06/020607073439.htm Changes In Sun's Intensity Tied To Recurrent Droughts In Maya Region (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2001/05/010518083117.htm Cosmic Rays Linked To Global Warming (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2002/07/020731080631.htm Evidence For Sun-climate Link Reported By UMaine Scientists (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/01/050111175828.htm Flares From Sun's Far Side May Affect Space Weather Of Inner Planets (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/08/070824131445.htm Greater Solar Activity May Bring United States More Gray Days (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2001/07/010716112433.htm Holes In Sun's Corona Linked To Atmospheric Temperature Changes On Earth (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/03/000315080417.htm NASA Study Finds Increasing Solar Trend That Can Change Climate (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2003/03/030321075236.htm New Analysis Shows Earth's Lower Stratosphere In Synch With Solar Cycle (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1998/02/980212184713.htm New Experiment To Investigate Effect Of Galactic Cosmic Rays On Clouds And Climate (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/10/061023193345.htm Northern Climate, Ecosystems Driven By Cycles Of Changing Sunlight (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2003/09/030926070112.htm Regional Variation In Warming From Sun During Solar Cycle Shown By Satellite (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/11/071113142105.htm Scientists Determine Biological And Ecosystem Changes In Polar Regions Linked To Solar Variability (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2003/09/030929054445.htm Sun's Direct Role In Global Warming May Be Underestimated, Duke Physicists Report (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/10/051001100950.htm Sun's Past Strength Took Toll On Tropical Glaciers, Worsens Today's Outlook (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/05/060531164947.htm Surface Warming And The Solar Cycle (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/08/070801174450.htm The Sun's Chilly Impact On Earth (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2001/12/011210164606.htm The Sun Is More Active Now Than Over The Last 8000 Years (Science Daily) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/10/041030221144.htm
When it gets hotter your winter will be colder! When world climate was cooler during the Little Ice age, the winters were correspondingly colder. In the medieval warm period the climate was milder. This all seems logical. However with Global Warming, we will be getting colder winters? Or could it be that this is just another way of avoiding saying that the reality is there is global cooling?
