Every year he has a blast performing on the main stage and entertaining the Long Beach crowd. This started 4 years ago when Donovan entered Long Beach Pride's 1st Pride Star singing competition and won 1st place. That night he also sang with Jennifer Hudson with 1st winner up, Karen Cobb. Before the start of the Long Beach Pride Parade this past Sunday, May 17, 2009, Thip Soulisak was able to get a few questions in with SF Mayor Gavin Newsom.
So it came down to the wire, 4 of us were the remaining finalists that competed on the final day of the competition. They all have incredible voices and I had so much fun with all of them, I consider them family because they were all so good to me. I LOVE YOU GUYS! Well yeah pretty much the title explains it lol, this was the results show haha and umm yeah I WON! WOO HOO!! ummm.....yeah I DID NOT EXPECT THAT AT ALL!!!! I'm so thankful for everything that's happened and for everyone who supported me, you have NO IDEA! I LOVE EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!
Today (March 17th) was the top fours performances at the long beach pride festival. We got to perform on the main stage which was amazing!!! This was my second song I performed. Apparently we had to do 2 so ummm I did "I'll Be" as my first song which ummm I pulled out of my ass haha. I havn't sung that since my junior year of high school but hey it worked. As for this song I was pretty comfortable and had fun with it, Hope you guys like it. Thanks for everyone who showed up and supported me throughout this competition. Without any of you I more then likely wouldn't have won lol. THANKS!!! =]
