www.googleldn.com Wouk explains how LDN works its magic. By causing the body to produce 2-3 times the normal amount of endorphins, it restores the immune system to its full operating condition. This is why it works not only for MS, but for Cancer, AIDS, Parkinson's, Autism, Chron's, and just about every other Immune system related disease. Bernard Bihari, MD, as well as other physicians and researchers, have described beneficial effects of LDN on a variety of diseases: Cancers: * Bladder Cancer * Breast Cancer * Carcinoid * Colon & Rectal Cancer * Glioblastoma * Liver Cancer * Lung Cancer (Non-Small Cell) * Lymphocytic Leukemia (chronic) * Lymphoma (Hodgkins and Non-Hodgkins) * Malignant Melanoma * Multiple Myeloma * Neuroblastoma * Ovarian Cancer * Pancreatic Cancer * Prostate Cancer (untreated) * Renal Cell Carcinoma * Throat Cancer * Uterine Cancer Other Diseases: * ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) * Alzheimers Disease * Ankylosing Spondylitis * Autism Spectrum Disorders * Behcets Disease * Celiac Disease * Chronic Fatigue Syndrome * CREST syndrome * Crohns Disease * Emphysema (COPD) * Endometriosis * Fibromyalgia * HIV/AIDS * Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) * Multiple Sclerosis (MS) * Parkinsons Disease * Pemphigoid * Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) * Psoriasis * Rheumatoid Arthritis * Sarcoidosis * Scleroderma * Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) * Systemic Lupus (SLE) * Transverse Myelitis * Ulcerative Colitis * Wegeners Granulomatosis
Everything Will Be Okay chronicles a young film makers life journey beginning with the horrifying realization he has 2-5 years left to live. Devastated and determined by the diagnosis of the terminal illness ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease), he sets out to find true meaning in what will now be the rest of his life. Over the course of three and a half years, Patrick turns the cameras on himself, documenting the progression and ravages of the disease, both physical and emotional, exposing the broad array of emotions that come into play when facing ones own death. It is a story of how one man, faced with his untimely demise, maintains his artistic passion, devoting his remaining time on earth to raising ALS awareness, finding a cure, and ultimately finding himself. "All of my adult life, I have been making films - films about unconventional characters, stories about vulnerable souls. Now, in the last years of my life, the story which eluded me on paper, is unfolding across my body, inside my nervous system, and in front of my eyes. I have become the character in the film which I have been striving to bring to the screen all these years." -Patrick OBrien more information here: http://www.patrickobrienfoundation.org

The ALS Society of Canada has launched a new public service advertising campaign created by Lowe Roche, Toronto to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and the ALS Society's efforts to fund research towards a cure for the disease. Created by Lowe Roche on a pro bono basis, the 60-second television public service announcement, Head and Shoulders is composed of a montage of clips, each one focusing on a man with ALS in emotionally charged moments as his disease advances to different parts of his body. Set to the childrens song, Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes, as the spot progresses, and his conditions worsen, the cheerful singing becomes a sad whisper. We chose to create a spot that was musically and emotionally driven to raise awareness for ALS, said Christina Yu, Vice President, Creative Director, Lowe Roche. This song is one which everybody can relate to and we wanted to use it unconventionally to illustrate how this disease eventually affects every body part. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigs disease, is a rapidly progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease that causes the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As the nerve cells die, people with ALS lose control of their muscles, which makes breathing, eating and even smiling almost impossible. Eighty per cent of those diagnosed will die within two to five years. There is no known cure or effective treatment of ALS. "Lowe Roche has created a very powerful commercial that we think will help the public better understand what ALS is all about," explains Bobbi Greenberg, Director of Communications, ALS Society of Canada. "We're very appreciative of their dedication to this project and of those who donated their time and services during the production process. Were certain that their efforts will help us raise the funds we desperately need to proceed with research initiatives that will ultimately help us find effective therapies and a cure for this devastating disease." Senator Coburn objects to a series of bipartisan and noncontroversial legislation, which includes bills that protect children from Internet predators; increase penalties for child pornography, invest in research of Lou Gehrigs disease, strokes, paralysis; and the Emmett Till Unsolved Crimes Bill, that would help solve crimes that have gone unpunished since the Civil Rights era. Building a home with his own hands. That was the dream of a man named Ernie Lorenz. But symptoms of ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease, made it difficult for Ernie to hold a hammer. The disease was also making it hard for him to breathe. But a new device being researched at Mayo Clinic may help Ernie and other ALS patients breathe easier longer. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Lou Gehrig's Disease A review of the scientific literature reveals an absence of clinical trials investigating the use of cannabinoids for ALS treatment. However, recent preclinical findings indicate that cannabinoids can delay ALS progression, lending support to anecdotal reports by patients that cannabinoids may be efficacious in moderating the disease's development and in alleviating certain ALS-related symptoms such as pain, appetite loss, depression and drooling.[1] Writing in the March 2004 issue of the journal Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis & Other Motor Neuron Disorders, investigators at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco reported that the administration of THC both before and after the onset of ALS symptoms staved disease progression and prolonged survival in animals compared to untreated controls. On a world basis, more than half a million people suffer from ALS. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a neuro muscular disease, which rapidly causes paralysis of all muscles in the body. One of the consequences of this is that persons with ALS quickly lose the ability to speak. As a result, efficient communication aid becomes paramount. This film is dedicated to demonstrating some of the communication aid technologies currently available on the market -- and to showing why these technologies are invaluable to people with ALS as well as to their family and friends.
