Norfolk Southern 361 general manifest freight comes around the curve at CP Lowe on track 2 and before they get to the crossing Amtrak Crescent #20 come flying by them on track 1. Sorry about the talking in the video, some guy walked up just as I was about to record this and wouldn't shut up during the video!!! The gates went down, all outbound signals from Atlanta were red, but 21R comes around the curve and eases to a stop in Mableton,Ga. OK I waited almost an hour after Amtrak and I'm glad I did! I heard 322 coming from Atlanta on the radio, then I hear the dispatcher talking to 198 which is now in Austell heading my way. All graduated from Pebblebrook and are Pastor, church musicians, deacons, lay members, and friends of De John the latest family member who graduated in 2010. God has been good to us 67 neices and nephews; over 150 great neices and nephews down to the 6th generation of Mableton, Ga. family. They are playing paint ball and trust me it's enough woods. Check out the video, pretty cool. Anyway 27W got the green and started to accelerate, then the hot box detector got them on axle 12 with a hanging brake. At 11:58am on Saturday, March 2, 1996, eastbound intermodal train #220 rumbles through the milepost 138.0H grade crossing in Mableton, Georgia, on NS's Atlanta North District behind KCS GP40-2 #4758, NS GP38-2 #5050, NS SD40-2 #6088, and NS GP38-2 #5049. The RS5T airhorn on the #4758 sure did sound good!

NS #22G is a relatively new transcon intermodal running between Los Angeles and Atlanta. The UP power is typically run through onto NS, and it has 1-2 DPU locomotives on the rear. This makes for a interesting treat to see one of these massive intermodals rolling into Atlanta with DPU power!
