Last Thursday Machine Gun Kelly stopped by Champaign, IL and put on a wild performance at The High Dive, courtesy of Prime Social. As always, Urbana Poppin' Champaign was in the house to capture footage and take some flicks of the show. Above you can see footage for his performance of the single "Wild Boy" which completely blew the roof off the venue. Champagne flying, females undressing on stage, and stage dives? MGK vs. V-Nasty "Walk In My Shoes" Machine Gun Kelly sat down to give a very candid interview with XXL. Kelly who seemed visible nervous at times told reporters that he would had too much respect for the history behind the word to use it in his raps. Kelly goes on to mention that he had been jumped before "just for being white" in the wrong part of town. "That is such an awkward question...Even to talk about camera. Just saying [the phrase] N-Word becuase it's such a touchy subject" Machine Gun Kelly makes it clear that he is no stranger to the black community and even goes as far as to say that his daughter is black but he still respects the history behind the word. "My daughter is black. My whole team is black is except for one of my managers." This interview sets a radically different tone than the youtube post entitled "On Some Real Sh*t" by V-Nasty. The contrast between the two perspectives brings a new dynamic to the discussion. V-Nasty posed the question "am I using [the N-Word] in a disrespectful type of way"?
