Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign Operation Migaloo 07-08 Odyssey For The Whales: 20000 Miles, 68 Crew Members, And 83 Days At Sea For The Whales In The Southern Ocean Sea Shepherds fourth expedition to the remote southern waters off the coast of Antarctica . Japan is targeting endangered whales in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary and Sea Shepherd will not stand by while whales die. With our ship, the Steve Irwin and a dedicated crew of 41 international volunteers, the Whales' Navy, under the command of founder and president, Captain Paul Watson, will uphold and enforce international conservation regulations on the high seas against the Japanese whaling fleet's self imposed quota of 935 piked whales, 50 endangered humpback whales and 50 endangered fin whales in the Southern Oceans. Shock Troopers (ショックトルーパーズ?) is an arcade game developed by Saurus. Gameplay involves taking command of one or three commandos in an 8-way shooter through 6 stages of opposing forces, weaponry, and power-ups. The Bloody Scorpions have kidnapped a scientist and his granddaughter in order to gain the powerful drug, Alpha-301, which converts normal people into unbeatable superhuman soldiers. A special team must fight through their ranks in order to get to their leader and save the scientist's granddaughter and the world. The game received a semi-sequel in Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad. There is also believed to be a third game which became vaporware. At the beginning of each session, players choose whether to go through the game in one of two modes, "Lonely Wolf" or "Team Battle". In "Lonely Wolf", you control one character throughout the game, while "Team Battle" lets you pick a band of three soldiers through their missions, switching between them on-the-fly. Choosing to go it alone gives you a higher starting life total, while proceeding as a team will give you a wider variety of special weapons as well as a higher starting total (ten for each of your three characters instead of twenty for one). Each character has their own virtues over other selections. Some might start with higher life totals, while others could move faster. Placed a fog machine next to my computer to check the air flow with all 6 fans. Don't have the motherboard or ram yet. It is a NZXT Lexa S case. The fans in the front, side and on the H70 are Enermax UCMA12 120mm fans blowing at 69.15 cfm. The other fans are Kaze Maru 140mm Case Fan running at 1200 rpm at 61.30 cfm. (Edit on the video: the top 140mm fans are 61.30 cfm.)This rig should be done sometime this summer. Going to run a i7-930, H70, 500gb hd, GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R, 12 gb ripjaw ram, ATI 5850, Corsiar 850w ps, media drive, cd-rw disk drive, and possible blue ray drive. The configuration might change since I need to test which config gives me the lowest temperature with the H70 in push pull config. So i might reverse the H70 to intake and exhaust the two 140mm fans and intake everything else.

Google Tech Talk March 11, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by Marc Stiegler. This presentation starts with a simple block of code written by the Lazy Programmer, to observe how laziness made the code more compact and simpler. We then define the Principle of Least Authority(POLA), and explain why it is a best practice for secure programming. We show how laziness in that first example enabled enforcement of POLA. We then put the Lazy Programmer through a series of increasingly more difficult tasks as management attempts to make the Lazy Programmer work hard. To achieve maximum laziness, the Lazy Programmer is driven toward increasingly more modular, encapsulating OO designs that happen to implement POLA; ultimately compelled to build systems with defense in depth to avoid work. A secret truth is thus revealed: lazy OO programmers have been using secure techniques for decades, if only they had known. We then describe the tools that turn laziness into correctly enforced security for JavaScript, Java, and distributed computing. Marc Stiegler is a researcher at Hewlett-Packard Labs who has written "Introduction to Capability Based Security," and designed CapDesk and Polaris, a windows overlay that isolates applications from one another to allow virus safe computing.
On February 6, 2010 at approximately 0430 hours (Melbourne time), the Sea Shepherd ship Bob Barker reengaged the illegal Japanese whaling fleet at 67 degrees 10 minutes South and 67 Degrees 07 Minutes East. Sea Shepherds other vessel, the Steve Irwin, is en route to join the action. The Bob Barker is currently on the tail of the Nisshin Maru and two harpoon ships, where it will attempt to block the slipway of the factory ship until the Steve Irwin arrives. The Sea Shepherd ship Bob Barker has shut down illegal whaling operations in Antarctica. The ship with its volunteer crew has caught up with the Nisshin Maru factory ship and is actively blocking its slipway. The Nisshin Maru will be unable to process whales as a result of Sea Shepherds efforts. The Bob Barker intends to stay in this position off the stern of the Nisshin Maru until the whalers return home or until they run out of fuel. Sea Shepherds other ship, the Steve Irwin, is racing to the area to join the action. Four other whaling vessels are in the area surrounding the Nisshin Maru and Bob Barker. They include: the Yushin Maru 1, 2, and 3 as well as the notorious Shonan Maru 2, which one month ago today sank the Sea Shepherd Ady Gil in an act of blatant aggression.
