www.mahalo.com www.mahalo.com The tenth episode of Mad Men's fourth season, entitled "Hands and Knees," aired on September 26, 2010, on AMC. Here's a recap in case you missed it: "Hands and Knees" opens with Joan telling Roger that she's likely pregnant. A concerned Roger accompanies Joan to consult with a doctor about her options. Joan chooses abortion, and opts to have the procedure done without anyone, including Roger, by her side. Don starts the episode by calling his daughter, Sally, to surprise her with the news that he's taking her to see The Beatles at Shea Stadium. After talking to Sally, Don heads into a meeting with reps from North American Aviation. The group wants to work with Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, but reps have concerns because the NAA works so closely with the government. In order for this to work, Sterling Cooper's staff will need to undergo security clearance with the Department of Defense. Don unwittingly signs a waiver allowing them to investigate his past. When two "G-men" show up at Betty's house asking questions about Don's past, she covers for him - but then calls Don to warn him. A panicked Don knows that if the government digs too deeply, they'll learn about his life of lies. He begs Pete to stop the investigation - but Pete won't, because he doesn't want to lose the NAA account. In the meantime, Lane's father shows up from London, asking his son to return home and sort out his life. Lane ignores his dad's request, instead taking Mr. Pryce ...
www.mahalo.com www.mahalo.com The ninth episode of Mad Men's fourth season, entitled "The Beautiful Girls," aired on September 19, 2010, on AMC. Here's a recap in case you missed it: As "The Beautiful Girls" opens, Don is seen in bed with Dr. Faye Miller, making it clear their relationship is progressing rapidly. Peggy, meanwhile, has been set up on a blind date by Joyce with political writer Abe Drexler. Peggy and Abe's date goes downhill when Abe criticizes Peggy for working on a campaign for Filmore Auto Parts. The auto giant had come under fire recently in the South for refusing to hire black employees, prompting a political boycott. Eventually, Peggy walks out on the date. Back at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, Roger is flirting with Joan and hoping she'll accept his dinner invitation. Roger's secretary points out that Joan is going through a rough time, having just found out her husband will be going to Vietnam after Basic Training. Roger feels bad and hires a masseuse team to give Joan a night of in-home pampering. Meanwhile, Don is in a meeting with the bickering executives from Filmore Auto Parts. When his daughter, Sally, unexpectedly shows up at the office - having run away from home - Don stows her in his office and returns to the meeting. More chaos erupts when Peggy discovers that Don's secretary, Ms. Blankenship, has died at her desk. Peggy and the other women in the office quickly stow the now-deceased Ms. Blankenship out of sight, so the Filmore execs won ...

www.mahalo.com www.mahalo.com The eighth episode of Mad Men's fourth season, entitled "The Summer Man," aired on September 12, 2010, on AMC. Here's a recap in case you missed it: ''The Summer Man'' focuses heavily on Don Draper as he gets introspective, trying to understand what makes life important and the meanings behind people's actions. Don has been a bit off the rails in recent episodes, in the form of heavy drinking binges, among other things. Throughout this episode, we see Don shying away from the booze and trying to remain as lucid as possible. Don decides to take on-again, off-again companion Bethany out for dinner. Things get rather tense when Betty and Henry Francis show up to the same restaurant. Betty is resentful of Don's lifestyle and her reaction to seeing Don with Bethany sparks a fight with Henry. Henry thinks it's about way more than just Don's lifestyle. He thinks Betty still has strong feelings for Don. Henry decides to take some of his frustrations out by removing some of Don's personal belongings from the garage. He tells Don to come get the boxes. Afterward, the introspective Don takes his old baggage - and tosses them right in a dumpster. Over at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, the office boys are running amok and creating problems for Joan - in particular, Joey. When Joan confronts Joey about his behavior, he tells her off and calls her vulgar names. Later, Joey pens a pornographic drawing of Joan and Lane together, and tapes it to Joan's office ...

Elsewhere in the office, Don gets a message that Anna Draper's niece, Stephanie, needs to speak with him immediately. Knowing that this urgent message is likely grave news about Anna, Don cancels his plans to attend the Ali fight with Roger. Before Peggy can depart the office for her birthday plans, Don calls her in to further review, and reject, the creative team's pitches for the Samsonite account. Despite Don's belittling treatment of Peggy she opts to stay and work through the evening on the account, though it costs her the dinner with Mark. Back in the present, the agency is all abuzz about the CLIO Awards ceremony at the Waldorf Hotel. Sterling Cooper wins a CLIO for the Glo Coat commercial, and Roger and Don celebrate by drinking enthusiastically. When the group is summoned back to the office to pitch to the Life Cereal executives, a drunken Don spews the same cliched slogan that he mocked earlier in the day. The young man struggles during the interview, pitching the same tired slogan for several products. Despite failing to impress, Roger recommends that they hire him, much to Don and Peggy's dismay. In this episode, we find out how Don came to work at the agency. As Roger dictates his life story to his secretary, we see a younger Don Draper as a fur coat salesman. When Roger comes into the store to buy a gift for Joan, his new lady-friend, Don learns that he's in advertising. Don doggedly pursues Roger asking for a job. The two wind up at lunch and get very drunk. Later, Don convinces Roger that he hired him during the lunch. He also chews out Peggy about an impending deadline, ordering her to be locked in a hotel room with her co-worker, Rizzo, to work on the project. Peggy and Rizzo butt heads at ...
www.mahalo.com www.mahalo.com The fifth episode of Mad Men's fourth season, entitled "The Chrysanthemum and the Sword," aired on August 22, 2010, on AMC. Here's a recap in case you missed it: Mad Men opens with Don Draper learning that rival ad agency Cutler Gleason Chaough is trying to pick up major clients that Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce has either lost or discarded. At first, Don isn't overly concerned about this development. The ad agency is in the midst of trying to pick up a major new account: Honda Motorcycles. In preparation for upcoming meetings with Honda, The Sterling Cooper execs brush up on their understanding of Japanese culture by reading the book ''The Chrysanthemum and the Sword.'' Everything goes well at the initial sit-down until Roger bursts in, insulting the Honda businessmen and ranting about the war and Japan in general. Roger is still holding on to bitter feelings about Japan from his time serving in World War II. After Don and Pete confront Roger, accusing him of living in the past and trying to hold the company back, a sheepish Roger apologizes to the other partners for his outburst. Don is now realizing that Cutler Gleason Chaough is a bit more than a pest - the rival agency is also pitching for the Honda account. Don devises an elaborate plan to thwart the effort. His plan works and Cutler Gleason's out of the running for the deal with Honda. Outside of the Sterling Cooper offices, Betty, Henry and Don are all beginning to notice that Sally ...

Lane and Roger explain to him that Tom's Clearasil account is "in conflict" with the larger Ponds account and will have to be dropped. Pete must break the news to his father-in-law. When he has trouble getting the words out, he winds up telling Tom that Trudy is pregnant. Ultimately, Pete leverages Trudy's happy news into getting Tom to hand over his multi-million dollar Vicks accounts. Don's evening with secretary Allison comes back to bite him. During a focus group for Ponds, Allison loses it, breaking into sobs in front of everyone. Later, Allison confronts Don in his office and tells him that she's quitting. When Allison asks Don for a letter of recommendation, he reacts indifferently. An angry Allison hurls a paperweight at him and leaves the office in tears. Don considers writing Allison a letter of apology, but ultimately gives up on the idea. Outside of the office, Harry persuades a "reluctant" Pete to meet for lunch with former rival Ken Cosgrove. The two eventually agree to bury the hatchet. Back at the office, word of Trudy's pregnancy is spreading like wildfire. It seems everyone now knows - including Peggy. Peggy offers her congratulations, though she seems quite sad about the news. Peggy and Pete share a ...

This includes Joan, who approaches Lane about a few days break so she can spend some time with husband Greg before he starts basic military training. Lane isn't happy about Joan's request and Joan isn't happy with Lane's reaction. Joan's husband, Greg, wants her to quit her job, but she refuses. A mixup at the florist, however, causes even more discourse. Lane's wife gets the flowers meant for Joan - with a note that reads "Joan, forgive me. Lane." Joan winds up with Mrs. Pryce's flowers, with a note that reads "Darling, I've been an ass. Kisses, Lane." A furious Joan hurls the flowers at Lane and fires his secretary for messing up the flower order. Is Don Draper turning things around? www.mahalo.com MAD MEN PREMIERE The fourth season of Mad Men premiered on July 25, 2010, on AMC. Here's a brief recap in case you missed it. The episode takes place the week of Thanksgiving in 1964, nearly a year later from the Season 3 finale. Don Draper is being interviewed for a feature story in Advertising Age. But his answers are so incredibly cryptic, and the article printed so scathing, that it costs the new agency, known as Sterling Cooper Draper Price, several accounts. Roger convinces Don to go on a date with a friend of Jane's, but she rejects his aggressive advances. Roger later tries to get Don to join the family on Thanksgiving but he indicates that he "has plans", which wind up being a regularly scheduled session with a prostitute. Things aren't going well for Betty either. Now married to Henry Francis, her continued impatience with her children becomes a problem for her. When she badly handles a situation with her daughter Sally, Henry's mother quietly scolds Henry, disapproving of Betty and accusing him of only marrying her for the sex. Finally, after a near-disaterours publicity stunt in which Peggy Pete and Joey involve two rival actresses to stage a fight that turns all-too real, Don has a second interview with the same Ad Agency reporter and begins to open up about who he really is. Edited by Shoopdancer - Made for Fun, not Profit **Program Used: Sony Vegas 8 FEEDBACK IS ♥ *Spoilers for Season 1-3 of Mad Men" PETE/PEGGY!! In my opinion, these two definitely make the show. Their chemistry is absolutely undeniable and every scene they are in together is electric. I know a lot of people don't like Pete Campbell, but I love that he's so flawed- over the last three seasons he has really evolved and is nowhere near the slimy little weasel he was in the pilot. I think my favourite (and probably also least favourite) moment in the entire show was their scene in 2x13. I couldn't stop thinking about the season two finale for days and was absolutely moved by the performances from both Elisabeth Moss and Vincent Karthieser. Hopefully season four will be great for them :) This video basically took all weekend to make (in between visits to the football) and I'm not really all that impressed with it...but I desperately needed to make something for these two. I have been dying to make something for them ever since I watched the show...and now that I am FINALLY on my 10 week Uni break, I had to churn this video out before all others (and there will be an influx in videos posted in the next few weeks). Sidenote, THANKS SO MUCH TO MY SUBSCRIBERS!! 931!! :) QUOTES// Peggy: "Why are you here?" Pete: "I wanted to see you tonight" Peggy: "Me?" Pete: "I had to see you" // Pete: "I love you and I want to be with you"
