The Savoy Havana Band was a British dance band of the 1920s. It was resident at the Savoy Hotel, London, between 1921 and 1927. The band was formed by the American saxophonist Bert Ralton in 1921. Originally there were six players including Ralton. It was later increased to ten players. From 1924 it was led by the English violinist Reginald Batten. Both the Savoy Havana Band and their colleagues the Savoy Orpheans were under the management of Wilfred de Mornys. Among the players was a young American saxophonist, Rudy Vallee, whose attempts to become a vocalist were discouraged by his fellow-players. Another member of the ensemble was the pianist Billy Mayerl. The owner of the Savoy Hotel, Rupert D'Oyly Carte, called the original Savoy Havana Band and the Savoy Orpheans "probably the best-known bands in Europe." When de Morny's contractual arrangement with the Savoy Hotel company ended on 31 December 1927, the band went on tour, and disbanded in 1930. Visit www.gamervision.com for more videos, reviews, news and blogs.Developers love to sneak things by us, and the best possible way to do so is in trailers. Even in small teasers there can be countless hints towards possible gameplay mechanics, story reveals, and other subtleties. Often, to find them all, you need to go frame by frame, looking everywhere for everything. Its a bit of a pain, so we decided to take that strain off of you. That's the concept behind Frame by Frame. In this installment of Frame by Frame, we have dissected the opening cinematic to The Beatles Rock Band to see just how many Beatles references we could find. We started out looking for song titles in hopes that they might reveal some hints about the games setlist, but ended up finding a whole lot more. Here is a list of song references we may have found in the video. Some are obvious, some less so. Of course, this is no guarantee that all of these will actually be in the game, but they were still fun to find. -Come Together -For the Benefit of Mr. Kite -A Hard Days Night -Dizzy Miss Lizzy -Rocky Raccoon -Maggie Mae -Rock and Roll Music -Revolution -The Word -Carry That Weight -Mr. Moonlight -Hey Bulldog -Twist and Shout -I Want You (Shes So Heavy) -Maxwells Silver Hammer -One and One is Two -Honey Pie -Michelle -Mean Mr. Mustard -Savoy Truffle -Hippy Hippy Shake -Penny Lane -Lovely Rita -Drive My Car -Strawberry Fields Forever -Paperback Writer -PS I Love You -Cry Baby Cry -Cry for a Shadow -Here ...

If the rap game were like a football game, this female emcee would definitely have on the dirtiest jersey in the game. Janelle R. Givens, a local recording artist from St. Louis, Missouri, who goes by the name "Juice aka JUICILLE." She received the name Juice in 7th grade by a friend back in Jr. High School. There was a girl in her class who had a similar first and last name as she. Teachers, principles, and classmates would always get the the two of them mixed up. The only difference in their names were the spelling. Since the other girl spelled her name Jenelle, people started calling her Jen and Janelle was Juice(RIP JENELLE GIBSON AKA JEN) Juice began rapping at the age of 16. Making the transition from a child into a women, at a young age she experienced that people trying to stop her from achieving her goals. "NOW YOU'VE GOT THE UPPER HAND" - Released 1967 on Unity. CANDI STATON-SUSSEWELL, born Canzetta Maria Staton on 13th March 1943 in Hanceville, Alabama, U.S.A. is an American soul and gospel singer. She is best known for her 1976 disco hit "Young Hearts Run Free". In 2007, Staton was inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame. At the age of eleven or twelve, Staton and her sister Maggie were sent to the Jewell Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Her vocal abilities quickly set her apart from the crowd; the school's pastor teamed the two sisters with a third girl to form the Jewell Gospel Trio. As teenagers, they toured the traditional gospel circuit in the 1950s with the Soul Stirrers, C. L. Franklin, and Mahalia Jackson. They recorded several sides for Nashbro, Apollo, and Savoy Records between 1953 and 1963. In 1968, Staton launched her solo career as a Southern soul stylist, garnering 16 R&B hits for Rick Hall's Fame Studios and gaining the title of First Lady of Southern Soul for her Grammy-nominated R&B renditions of the country tunes "Stand by Your Man" and "In the Ghetto". In 1975, Staton began collaborating with producer David Crawford on dance songs such as "Young Hearts Run Free" and "Victim". In 1997, singer Kym Mazelle recorded "Young Hearts Run Free" for the film adaption of Romeo and Juliet. Staton collaborated with acclaimed pop/r&b songwriter, Wayne K. Garfield, Change, Luther Vandross, and Janet Jackson on her 1979 album title song "Chance" and album single "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" (co-written by Patrick Adams). In 1982, Staton returned to Gospel music. She married her fourth and current husband, John Sussewell (drummer for Ashford & Simpson and also Dory Previn's sixth album). Together they founded Beracah Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia with help from Jim Bakker and Tammy Faye Bakker's PTL Ministries. She has since recorded eight Gospel albums, two of which received Grammy Award nominations. In 1992 she returned to popular mainstream charts with a Top Ten British hit, "You Got the Love," a club-styled dance hit that sold two million copies. Staton signed with Intersound Records in 1995. In 2000, she released her 11th album, Here's a Blessing. Following the release of a compilation CD entitled Candi Staton in 2004, Staton returned to secular music with her 2006 project His Hands. Two of Staton's children, Cassandra Hightower (background vocals) and Marcus Williams (drums), join her on the cd. Staton's television show New Direction airs on TBN. Staton has also made appearances on the Praise the Lord telecast with Paul Crouch and his wife Jan Crouch.
