There were conservatively 50000 American Patriots from all across the country, making this emergency house call to Washington DC on very short notice. The liars say 10000. See for yourself! First we enjoyed a press conference by conservative Reps who oppose the radicals and their lustful power grabs, as well as some great unelected conservative voices such as Mark Levin and Jon Voight. We then immediately made our way to the congressional offices and stood in impossible lines hoping for a chance to get in and confront our Reps. The biggest shock wasnt at the march but when we got home. All the news report are describing a few thousand people at the march???? What the Fuc****** The streets were packed with people and the lawn in front of the capital building was packed. I would have guessed at least 50000 peeps. An amateur's footage of the March on Washington. Gets shaky at times - but I did my best! Definitely well over a million people present - and I'm so proud to have been there.
The Great March was scheduled to commence at 11 AM from Freedom Plaza, where it would proceed down Pennsylvania Avenue toward the front steps of the Capitol. On the 9-12 web site, the agenda directed those wishing to participate in the march to assemble at Freedom Plaza starting at 9 AM. William Temple, a Revolutionary-era re-enactor from Georgia, was in charge of organizing the contingent that was supposed to lead the march. He contacted all the re-enactors by e-mail, instructing them to assemble at 8 o'clock so they would have time to organize their ranks. At 7:30 AM I walked the 4 blocks or so from my hotel to Freedom Plaza. I was struck by the large numbers of people walking there at so early an hour but stunned by the sight that greeted me when turned the corner and saw the plaza: it was packed with people - almost a thousand had already gathered and hundreds were arriving every minute from every adjoining avenue. I had never before in my life witnessed anything like this - much less participated in it. At that moment I realized I was about to become a part of history.

I trekked from Rochester, MN to Washington, DC for the 2009 March Washington (on my own dime...no astroturfing). I took a minute or two to step to the side and videotape some of the march along Pennsylvania Avenue. The event was like a church picnic. The people were friendly, happy, and very concerned about the dangerous path our current government is taking. Just plain, decent, average people. Our group of 120 South Carolina citizens, traveled at our own expense by charter bus to march on Washington on Sept 12, 2009. One of our state Senators, Tom Davis joined us as a fellow citizen and not representing his office. The night before we actually marched down Pennsylvania Avenue along with over 1.5 million of our fellow citizens, Tom Davis and others gave inspiration speeches. Tom made a very positive impression as being a low keyed American patriot. I think he saw for himself the discontent and anger Americans have for Obama's socialist policies and that of elitist Congress.
September 12th, 2009 anywhere from one to two million people from across the United States of America (USA), gathered in Washington, DC. They did not come as Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, conservative, liberal, independent, moderate, black, white, red, brown, yellow or purple. They came as Americans, we the people, red, white, and blue. The mission, the message to our unresponsive elected representatives: enough! I attended the 912 Project March. I was not affiliated with any particular group. I attended to show my discontent with both politcal parties. It was a great event. Wonderful speakers. Some of the best speakers were average citizens. Very civil crowd.
