Both the House and Senate have finalized it and submitted it for his signature. (4:39pm ET 12/15) In the final bill, they renamed Section 1031 to Section 1021, but it is otherwise unchanged. The President will promptly sign NDAA Section 1031 into law, codifying who is eligible for "Detention under the law of war without trial." Without a trial, there is no chance to tell a judge that the government has no evidence. The worst thing about this law is that it originally exempted US citizens, but now it dangerously does not specify either way (ie is "statutorily agnostic") -- because the Obama administration asked to REMOVE the exemption for citizens. Speaking with the Alex Jones Show today, Congressman Paul went on the offensive against the bill, which is set to be signed into law by President Obama later this week. Section 1031 of the NDAA bill, which itself defines the entirety of the United States as a "battlefield," allows American citizens to be snatched from the streets, carted off to a foreign detention camp and held indefinitely without trial. The bill states that "any person who has committed a belligerent act" faces indefinite detention, but no trial or evidence has to be presented, the White House merely needs to make the accusation. Paul said he saw significance in "the announcement and the arrogance of it all," making reference to the Obama administration's claim that it can now assassinate American citizens anywhere in the world and noting that the passage of the NDAA bill is an effort to codify the policy into law. Alex continues his conversation with Jennifer Jones, the Arizona woman who was arrested for daring to speak her mind during a city hall meeting in the town of Quartzsite. Quartzsite Police Chief Jeff Gilbert has asked the town council to declare a "state of emergency" due to all of the publicity the town has received over the arrest of a reporter at an open meeting in June. The town council voted 5-0 in favor of the action; Mayor Ed Foster did not attend the emergency meeting Sunday afternoon. Gilbert reportedly said the action was needed because Jennifer Jones was "inciting riots" after videos of her arrest at the meeting sprung up across the Internet. Questions surround feds' raid of Stockton home STOCKTON, CA - A federal education official Wednesday morning offered little information as to why federal agents raided a Stockton man's home Tuesday morning. The resident, Kenneth Wright, does not have a criminal record and he had no reason to believe why what he thought was a SWAT team would be breaking down his door at 6 in the morning. "I look out of my window and I see 15 police officers," Wright said. As Wright came downstairs in his boxer shorts, he said the officers barged through his front door. Wright said an officer grabbed him by the neck and led him outside on his front lawn. "He had his knee on my back and I had no idea why they were there," Wright said. According to Wright, officers also woke his three young children, ages 3, 7, and 11, and put them in a Stockton police patrol car with him. Officers then searched his house. "They put me in handcuffs in that hot patrol car for six hours, traumatizing my kids," Wright said. As it turned out, the person law enforcement was looking for - Wright's estranged wife - was not there. Wright said he later went to Stockton Mayor Ann Johnston and Stockton Police Department, but learned the city of Stockton had nothing to do with the search warrant. However, despite the constant atmosphere of scandal swirling around it, the company is still alive and well in Afghanistan. From the Afghanistan war theatre to the Washington political theatre Code Pink protester Tighe Barry, who was present at the Senate Armed Forces hearing on military contractors actions in Afghanistan, said that during a break a Blackwater official approached him with threats. I watched Margie's youtube.com predictions for 2010 and they triggered visions of horrific things to come. I think it's horrible and I will pray that this doesn't occur.There will be opposition in the USA, riots will occur and Martial Law and the National Guard will be implemented in certain states.
